Chouchen (Breton chouchenn) is an alcoholic beverage popular in Brittany, France. A form of mead, it is made from the fermentation of honey in water. Chouchen normally contains 14% alcohol by volume.^{[citation needed]} Traditionally, buckwheat honey is used, and this imparts chouchen's strong colour and pronounced flavour.

In Brittany, the fermentation process is begun by the addition of freshly pressed apple juice. Yeasts can also be used, as in the beer - making process. To reach the required alcoholic strength, for a litre of chouchen, approximately a third of a litre of honey is needed.

Chouchen is drunk chilled (though without ice), and generally as an aperitif. It can also be added to melon, in a similar way to port wine, or as a hot wine in the winter. There are different kinds of chouchen in Brittany, some of which are prepared with a mixture of seawater^{[citation needed]} as well as fresh water and honey.

Originally chouchen was made of cider and honey. The historical reputation of chouchen as a powerful intoxicant arises partly from claims that its effects were boosted by the venom of bees that became mixed up in the brew. While this claim cannot be verified, bees and their venom are not ingredients of the modern product.

Han Geng (born February 9, 1984) is a Chinese Mandopop singer and actor well known for his powerful dance skills. He is skillful in all China's 56 ethnic traditional dances, as well as ballet and hip-hop dance. He has been dubbed "Dancing King" and "King of Popularity" in China. He started his career, in 2001, when he was chosen by SM Entertainment (SME) to become a member of South Korean boy band Super Junior, which debuted in 2005, and as the leader of its sub-group Super Junior-M in 2008.

On 21 December 2009, Han filed a lawsuit against SME to terminate his contract as he felt that the 13-year contract was unlawful, overly restrictive and unfair. He also argued that he was forced to do things outside of his contract and refused sick leave which led to kidney illness. and has since returned to China to pursue a solo career. On 21 December 2010 the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of Han, however a representative of SM Entertainment said that they will file an immediate appeal to reverse the decision. On September 27, 2011, Han Geng's departure from Super Junior was made official when legal representatives of both Han Geng and S.M. Entertainment eventually released a statement stating, "Han Geng and S.M. Entertainment have amicably settled on a mutual agreement, and the lawsuit was able to come to a close after Han Geng submitted his 'Notice of Withdrawal of Appeal'."

Christine Fan, also known as FanFan (范范), (simplified Chinese: 范玮琪; traditional Chinese: 范瑋琪; pinyin: Fàn Wěiqí; Wade–Giles: Fan Wei-chi) was born March 18, 1976. She is an American-born Taiwanese singer and actress. She studied at Pomona College and the Harvard Extension School. In addition to singing, she was also the host of the variety show, Bang Bang Tang (模范棒棒堂) on Channel [V] in Taiwan and has also starred in various commercials. On 1 November, 2008, she held her first ticketed concert in Taipei. She later held concerts in Taichung, Hong Kong, Beijing and other Chinese cities. She also was the special guest in JJ Lin's concert in Singapore.

FanFan has been in a relationship with Chen Chien-Chou for ten years before he proposed in a 2010 NBA game.[2] She was also invited to sing the US National Anthem[3] for the next NBA game in Izod Center. The couple is active in charity work.

Although FanFan is often known for her singing, she's also a skilled songwriter. She has composed and written lyrics for herself as well as other artists, including Claire Kuo, Angela Chang and the girl group Hey Girl.
