http://www.youtube.com/Pogo Here's my new mix of The Mighty Boosh, using sounds and voices from the show woven into beats and melodies. Read on for more! When I first watched an episode of the Boosh, I was taken aback to say the least. The Mighty Boosh is a bizarre musical comedy adventure that follows zoo keepers Howard and Vince, their zoo shaman Naboo, their talking pet ape Bollo, and sexually deranged zoo manager Bob Fossil. On their adventures, you meet Sandstorm, a man made of sandpaper who can't "love" himself, Mr. Susan, a tubby fellow made of wash rags trapped in a room of mirrors, the Crack Fox, a homeless urban fox addicted to crack, and many more characters that will challenge your understanding of bizarre. Despite the occasional crudity, Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt create worlds and characters that are so charming and humbly presented that at times it's hard to decide if this is a show for kids or adults. The Boosh indulges your inner child and your dirty side at the same time, never overstepping in either direction, and when it grows on you, it's an experience that will leave you craving for more. I use Adobe Audition to record my sounds, FL Studio or Ableton to compose depending on the project, and finally Adobe Premiere to edit clips from the DVD or Blu-ray into a video. The whole process takes me about 2 - 3 weeks and I've done this with many shows including Pulp Fiction, Alice In Wonderland and The Fresh Prince. Thanks for watching! 'I Want...' is a track I started making in 2009. Here, I've remade the whole track from scratch to create a better sounding mix, and of course a video to go with it! So here's my two cents on Nick's behavior currently on his social networks (It's him, he's not hacked). It's embarrassing, really. I know that recently he's been expressing concerns that he wants to end the "Pogo" image he's created himself, but this is the worst way to go about it. Rather than bow out with humility and gratitude towards the people who have supported him over the years, he would prefer to be vulgar and idiotic to exile most of his fanbase. Not only does this affect him, it affects the community. As it stands currently, I'm ashamed to even be associated with him. He's had similar, briefer moments like this previously that he's recovered from, but this recent outburst is too much. I'm getting sick of following someone who is civil and respectful one moment, then flips the switch and turns into a misogynistic internet troll the next. That being said, I'm not ending my channel because of this, and in fact I've been wanting to veer from Pogo's music for a long time, particularly because I saw this coming. And I still have all this unreleased, unfinished work! I just won't be keeping up with him anymore (If my upload history is any indication, I kinda haven't been for a while). TL;DR, Nick's jumped off the deep end again, nobody knows when he's coming back up, and I'm tired of helping him out of the water.
