Babankatami is a village and rural commune in Niger.

Babankatami lies in the Sahel. The neighboring communities are Azèye in the north, Birni Lalle in the northeast, Adjékoria in the southeast, south Karofane, Bouza in the southwest and west Tabotaki. The municipality is divided into 41 administrative villages, 54 villages and two camps. The capital of the rural community is Babankatami.
