Subramania Bharati
Chinnaswami Subramania Bharathi (11 December 1882 – 11 September 1921) was an Indian writer, poet, journalist, Indian independence activist and social reformer from Tamil Nadu. Popularly known as "Mahakavi Bharathi", he was a pioneer of modern Tamil poetry and is considered one of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time. His numerous works were fiery songs kindling patriotism and nationalism during the Indian Independence movement.
Born in Ettayapuram of the then Tirunelveli district (present day Thoothukudi) in 1882, Bharathi had his early education in Tirunelveli and Varanasi and worked as a journalist with many newspapers, notable among them being the Swadesamitran and India. Bharathi was also an active member of the Indian National Congress. In 1908, an arrest warrant was issued against Bharathi by the government of India for his revolutionary activities, forcing him to flee to Puducherry, where he lived until 1918.
Bharathi's works were on varied themes covering religious, political and social aspects. Songs penned by Bharathi are widely used in Tamil films and music concerts.

मूल रूप से तमिल में लिखी गई कविता ‘यह है भारत देश हमारा’ की ये कुछ अनूदित हिंदी पंक्तियाँ हैं। इन चंद पंक्तियों में ही हमें भारत के प्रति कवि की भावनाएं स्पष्ट हो जाती हैं। ये कविता है तमिल भाषा के महान कवि सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती की। उन्हें लोग सम्मान से महाकवि भारतियार भी कहते हैं। 11 दिसंबर 1882 को तमिलनाडु के एक गाँव एट्टियापुरम में कवि सुब्रह्मण्यम का जन्म हुआ था। बचपन से ही मेधावी सुब्रह्मण्यम को उनके देशप्रेम के लिए भारती की उपाधि दी गई। उन दिनों बनारस शिक्षा के प्रमुख केंद्रों में से एक हुआ करता था। बनारस में सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती की बुआ रहती थीं। विवाह के बाद सुब्रह्मण्यम भी उच्च शिक्षा के लिए बनारस आ गए।

On this day - 8th March 2018 , International Women's Day, S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya pay tribute to the memory of Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati who had immortalised the little baby girl - Kannamma, through his classic poem "Chinnanchiru Kiliye Kannamma"
S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya are the Great Grand Daughters of Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi and the Grand Daughters of Dr Radha Viswanathan.
S.Aishwarya began learning Carnatic Music from her 4th year from her Great Grandmother and Grandmother. From her 4th to 6th year she also learnt from Smt Sharanya Krishna, a disciple of Smt Suguna Purushothaman. She has been under the tutelage of Karnataka Kalashree Smt Jambu Kannan for the last 16 years. She has trained under Vidwan A Shankar Raman with the Veena. Aishwarya has also been learning Hindustani Music from Pandit Nagaraj Rao Havaldar and Sri Omkar Havaldar. She is also under advanced training with Violin Maestro Vidwan V V Subrahmanyam.
S.Saundarya trains under Sangita Kala Acharya Vidushi Smt Neela Ramgopal and also learns dance (Vazhuvoorar Bani) from Smt Sumitra Nitin. Saundarya is under the tutelage of Smt Anuthama Murali (a disciple of Vidushi Sangita Kalanidhi A Kanyakumari) under whom she trains on violin & has also been learning Hindustani Vocal under Sri Omkarnath Havaldar.

On this day - 8th March 2018 , International Women's Day, S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya pay tribute to the memory of Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati who had immortalised the little baby girl - Kannamma, through his classic poem "Chinnanchiru Kiliye Kannamma"
S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya are the Great Grand Daughters of Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi and the Grand Daughters of Dr Radha Viswanathan.
S.Aishwarya began learning Carnatic Music from her 4th year from her Great Grandmother and Grandmother. From her 4th to 6th year she also learnt from Smt Sharanya Krishna, a disciple of Smt Suguna Purushothaman. She has been under the tutelage of Karnataka Kalashree Smt Jambu Kannan for the last 16 years. She has trained under Vidwan A Shankar Raman with the Veena. Aishwarya has also been learning Hindustani Music from Pandit Nagaraj Rao Havaldar and Sri Omkar Havaldar. She is also under advanced training with Violin Maestro Vidwan V V Subrahmanyam.
S.Saundarya trains under Sangita Kala Acharya Vidushi Smt Neela Ramgopal and also learns dance (Vazhuvoorar Bani) from Smt Sumitra Nitin. Saundarya is under the tutelage of Smt Anuthama Murali (a disciple of Vidushi Sangita Kalanidhi A Kanyakumari) under whom she trains on violin & has also been learning Hindustani Vocal under Sri Omkarnath Havaldar.

मूल रूप से तमिल में लिखी गई कविता ‘यह है भारत देश हमारा’ की ये कुछ अनूदित हिंदी पंक्तियाँ हैं। इन चंद पंक्तियों में ही हमें भारत के प्रति कवि की भावनाएं स्पष्ट हो जाती हैं। ये कविता है तमिल भाषा के महान कवि सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती की। उन्हें लोग सम्मान से महाकवि भारतियार भी कहते हैं। 11 दिसंबर 1882 को तमिलनाडु के एक गाँव एट्टियापुरम में कवि सुब्रह्मण्यम का जन्म हुआ था। बचपन से ही मेधावी सुब्रह्मण्यम को उनके देशप्रेम के लिए भारती की उपाधि दी गई। उन दिनों बनारस शिक्षा के प्रमुख केंद्रों में से एक हुआ करता था। बनारस में सुब्रह्मण्यम भारती की बुआ रहती थीं। विवाह के बाद सुब्रह्मण्यम भी उच्च शिक्षा के लिए बनारस आ गए।

Subramania Bharati
Chinnaswami Subramania Bharathi (11 December 1882 – 11 September 1921) was an Indian writer, poet, journalist, Indian independence activist and social reformer from Tamil Nadu. Popularly known as "Mahakavi Bharathi", he was a pioneer of modern Tamil poetry and is considered one of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time. His numerous works were fiery songs kindling patriotism and nationalism during the Indian Independence movement.
Born in Ettayapuram of the then Tirunelveli district (present day Thoothukudi) in 1882, Bharathi had his early education in Tirunelveli and Varanasi and worked as a journalist with many newspapers, notable among them being the Swadesamitran and India. Bharathi was also an active member of the Indian National Congress. In 1908, an arrest warrant was issued against Bharathi by the government of India for his revolutionary activities, forcing him to flee to Puducherry, where he lived until 1918.
Bharathi's works were on varied themes covering religious, political and social aspects. Songs penned by Bharathi are widely used in Tamil films and music concerts.
