WCBS-TV, channel 2, is the flagship station of the CBS television network, located in New York City. The station's studios are located within the CBS Broadcast Center and its transmitter is at the top of the Empire State Building, both in Midtown Manhattan. It is one-half of a television duopoly with Long Island-licensed independent station WLNY-TV (channel 55).

In the few areas of the eastern United States where viewers cannot receive CBS programs over-the-air, WCBS-TV is available on satellite to subscribers of DirecTV, which also provides coverage of the station to Latin America and major U.S. air carriers via the LiveTV inflight entertainment system. WCBS-TV is also available to Dish Network customers as part of All American Direct's distant network package.

Digital subchannel 2.2 is operated as a 24-hour news channel, branded as CBS New York Plus; its programming draws upon the resources of WCBS-TV, WLNY, WCBS radio (880 AM), WINS (1010 AM), and WFAN (660 AM). Similar channels will eventually be rolled out to CBS' other owned-and-operated stations.

John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founder members of The Beatles, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music. Together with Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most celebrated songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.

Born and raised in Liverpool, Lennon became involved as a teenager in the skiffle craze; his first band, The Quarrymen, evolved into The Beatles in 1960. As the group disintegrated towards the end of the decade, Lennon embarked on a solo career that produced the critically acclaimed albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine". After his marriage to Yoko Ono in 1969, he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself from the music business in 1975 to devote time to raising his infant son Sean, but re-emerged with Ono in 1980 with the new album Double Fantasy. He was murdered three weeks after its release.

Dr. Max Gomez, Ph. D. is a native of Havana, Cuba and was the medical correspondent/senior health editor for the NBC flagship television station WNBC in New York City. He delivered segments on health, science and medicine on the 5pm news. Before that he was the health and science editor for KYW-TV in Philadelphia from 1984 until 1991. In July 2007, "Dr. Max", as he is known, signed as a freelance medical reporter for WCBS-TV in New York.

He is the winner of six New York Emmy Awards, and two Philadelphia Emmy awards. In addition to his broadcast work, Gomez serves on the Advisory Board of HealthCorps.

He graduated cum laude from Princeton University, with a Ph.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He was also a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at New York's Rockefeller University. Dr. Gomez resides in New York City.

Rob Morrison (born May 17, 1968) is an American television journalist.

He grew up in Holden, Massachusetts, with his parents, Robert and Donna, and his sister, Traci, who is six years his junior. Morrison attended Saint John's High School, a private, Catholic Church-affiliated boys' high school located in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Morrison began his broadcasting career as a combat correspondent while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a radio disc jockey and news anchor and reporter while stationed on Okinawa, Japan, in the early 1990s. As a civilian, Morrison began his career at WGMC-TV in Worcester, Massachusetts. He later worked in Springfield, Massachusetts, and Hartford, Connecticut.

In 1999, Morrison began a nine-year period at WNBC, a local broadcast-television station located in New York City, New York, and the flagship station of the NBC broadcast-television network. He started as a co-anchor of Weekend Today in New York, the station's weekend edition of Today in New York, its early-morning, local-news-and-entertainment television program. In 2001, Morrison moved to the station's weekday-evening newscasts.
