New Zealand made it two wins out of two in Pool A with a bizarre three-wicket victory against Scotland in Dunedin. The Scots were reduced to 12-4 in the fifth over before Matt Machan (56) and Richie Berrington (50) shared 97. Four batsmen fell first ball, a World Cup first and only the third such instance in a one-day international, as they were all for 142 in the 37th over. But New Zealand had more alarms than expected in a curious run chase, before winning with 25.1 overs to spare. New Zealand vs Scotland ICC World Cup 2015 match at Dunedin: New Zealand win by three wickets Scotland’s tally in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 now reads two wins in two matches after they beat minnows Scotland by three wickets in the Pool A clash at Dunedin. This win will bode well in New Zealand’s hopes to qualify for the next stage of the World Cup. With this win, New Zealand move to the top spot in the Pooints table of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. After bowling Scotland out for 142, New Zealand were keen to run through the runs in quick time and were aggressive right from the onset. However, no batsman really hit it off, and gifted some wickets to Scottish bowlers but due to the small nature of the target, they were never really in serious trouble. To their credit, the Scottish bowlers bowled very well, exploiting the movement on offer to get the wickets. Ian Wardlaw in particular was very accurate and used his experience with Scotland and English county side Yorkshire to take the three wickets of Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum and Grant Elliott. Josh Davey also capitalised on the New Zealand batsmen’s intention to finish it off hurriedly and picked the wickets of Kane Williamson, Luke Ronchi and Corey Anderson, giving New Zealand a real scare towards the end, but the New Zealand tail-enders saw the hosts over the line with three wickets to spare in the end. In the first innings, Scotland put up a poor show with the bat. Apart from Richie Berrington and Matt Machan, no batsmen was able to stand up to some amazing bowling from the Kiwis. Trent Boult and Tim Southee began proceedings in emphatic fashion, reducing Scotland to 12 for four up front. But Machan and Berrington and played resolutely to stitch a 97-run partnership with both batsmen getting individual half centuries. However, they lost their wickets to Anderson soon after reaching their respective milestones attempting to pull the short ball. The Scottish tail-enders didn’t show too much of a fight. Brief scores: Scotland 142 in 36.2 overs (Matt Machan 56, Richie Berrington 50; Corey Anderson 3 for 18) lost to New Zealand 146 for in 24.5 overs (Kane Williamson 38; Josh Davey 3 for 40, Ian Wardlaw 3 for 57) by 3 wickets. New Zealand almost wasted a superb bowling effort to bumble their way to a three-wicket victory over Scotland in their cricket World Cup Pool A match in Dunedin on Tuesday. The co-hosts finished on 146 for seven, although they made it harder for themselves than they should have after bowling Scotland out for 142. Scotland’s opening bowler Iain Wardlaw took three for 57 in 9.5 overs to give New Zealand some nervous moments in their run chase with many of their batsmen guilty of throwing away their wickets in an effort to improve their net run rate. Daniel Vettori (eight not out) and Adam Milne (one), however, saw them home in the 25th over at University Oval. New Zealand had earlier destroyed Scotland’s top order with a superb display of swing bowling from Trent Boult and Tim Southee, who reduced Preston Mommsen’s side to 12 for four in the fifth over. Matt Machan (56) and Richie Berrington (50) rescued Scotland’s innings with a 97-run fifth-wicket partnership but once they were dismissed the tail collapsed. Corey Anderson grabbed three middle order wickets, while Vettori finished off the tail with three, the last two of which were on successive balls. New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum had been cautious before the game, refusing to take Scotland for granted particularly after Ireland did wonders for the associate nations on Monday. Ireland stunned West Indies by four wickets to give the non-test playing nations a massive confidence boost as the International Cricket Council looks to reduce the size of the 2019 World Cup to 10 teams. McCullum had indicated that the pitch, which has produced scores in excess of 300 in its last two one-dayers, typically aided the bowlers early on but got better as the day wore on. Southee and Boult proved him right in the early overs of the match, both carving out hat-trick opportunities but unable to achieve the feat. The pressure they were putting on the batsmen suggested the Scots were heading for the lowest World Cup team total – 36 by Canada in 2003 – before Machan and Berrington saved their embarrassment.

Watch Score 25 february 2015 Afghanistan vs Scotland & Ireland Vs UAE world cup 2015.. Score on geo news. Ireland break UAE hearts in a final-over thriller that included a bizarre non-dismissal.. The luck of the Irish has helped deny United Arab Emirates (UAE) a thrilling maiden World Cup victory on Wednesday night. Gary Wilson (80 off 69) made his own fortune to help guide Ireland (8-279) to a two-wicket win with four balls to spare at the Gabba. Earlier, No.6 Shaiman Anwar struck 106 and shared a record World Cup seventh-wicket stand of 107 with Amjad Javed (42 off 35) to help lift UAE from 6-131 to 9-278. Ireland are now on track for a quarter-final berth after backing up their shock opening win over West Indies - thanks to a little luck. On paper, the 17th match of the 2015 WC appears little more than a battle for bragging rights between two of the tournament's less-fancied teams. Neither Scotland or Afghanistan are expected to make it to the quarter-finals, but considering the ICC's plan to shrink the World Cup to ten teams in 2019 and the reduction of opportunities for Associate nations to improve at the highest level, making as many ticks in the W column is of utmost importance to them. At every juncture of Scotland's World Cup campaign, Preston Mommsen has found himself defending his team's position as minnows. He has spoken of how they have nothing to prove because they won matches to qualify for the World Cup, but equally he has emphasised the importance of taking points home because of the make-up of the 2019 tournament. Scotland and Afghanistan have needed to win every match because there is so much riding on the success of the Associates. Scotland have lost both their matches, to New Zealand by three wickets and England by 119 runs, while Afghanistan lost to Bangladesh by 105 runs and Sri Lanka by four wickets. Yet both teams will know that victories were close in one each of their previous games, and that with a bit more runs, they could beat Full Member teams. Right here in Dunedin, Scotland had New Zealand seven wickets down chasing 143 and Afghanistan reduced Sri Lanka to 51 for 5 and then 178 for 6 when defending 233. More is needed, and the two sides should know just what that is. That Scotland have not been competitive enough so far in this World Cup owes largely because not enough players have delivered in tandem. Against New Zealand, from 12 for 4 the team was carried by Matt Machan's 56 and Richie Berrington's 50, but the innings gave way once the pair was separated. Against England, barring Kyle Coetzer's splendid 71 the next best contribution was Mommsen's 26. The hard-hitting opener Calum MacLeod has yet to click, making 0 and 4, and that has meant early pressure on the batting. Despite two defeats, Mommsen could take positives from the team's performance, especially considering that apart from the offspinner Majid Haq, no member of the squad had played in a World Cup before this. 'It's been vital to get that experience under the belt and bank that. Obviously, it's one thing talking about playing in a World Cup, but actually doing it, on the day there's so much that goes on, there's far more pressure,' he said.

In the match against Oxford MCCU, Machan narrowly missed out on a maiden first-class century when he was dismissed on 99 by Alex Scott. His List A debut came in 2010 against the touring Bangladeshis, with Machan scoring 10 runs before being dismissed by Mashrafe Mortaza, in what was a 149 run victory for Sussex. His second and to date last List A appearance came in 2011 against the touring Indians. In this match Machan scored his maiden half century in that format, making 56 runs before being caught and bowled by Suresh Raina.
You caught me with your eyes
I can feel what's on your mind
Just like a gentle breeze
Touching only when you please
Shut down
She's a mad queen
Watch out
She's a love machine
I fall into a trance
Every time I watch you dance
Let's end what you've begun
