In addition to breaking news from Fairfax sources and international sources such as Reuters, the website provides a wide variety of information on markets, stocks, funds, commodities, bonds, residential and commercial property. Q. What’s in the 14 day trial?

When you subscribe to Free 14 day Financial Review website trial you will be given access to all the resources of the Financial Review website, including MarketWrap5pm.

A 14 day trial to MarketWrap5pm gives you access to a dedicated MarketWrap5pm section on the Financial Review website in addition to daily emails sent at market close alerting you to the latest investment news, reports and analysis from the day’s market movements.

A trial to MarketWrap5pm also includes access to selected website tools including: quotes, company profiles, watchlists and portfolios.

Complimentary trials require valid credit card details to be submitted during the sign up process. See Terms and Conditions for further information. To receive a 14 day trial visit afr.com/website and complete the sign-up process. Your trial begins upon receipt of your welcome email containing your username and password.

Q. What are the conditions of the 14 day Financial Review website trial?

You must have a credit card to participate in the trial. One trial is permitted per product per user. Duplicate trials will not be accepted. Trial commences immediately upon sign-up. After day 14 you will be billed and no refunds will be issued should you cancel the trial after the 14 day period.

Q. How do I cancel the 14 day Financial Review website trial?

You may cancel your trial at any time during the 14 day trial period and your credit card will not be charged a subscription fee. To cancel your trial:

Go to My Account under My Subscription select Cancel Trial.

Once you have cancelled your trial, your username and password will still provide you limited access (no charge) where you will still be able to use your portfolios and watchlists.

Q. What if I forget to cancel the trial after 14 days, will I be charged?

If you do not cancel your 14 day trial on the 14th day, you will be billed on the 15th day and charged at the monthly fee for the subscription level selected.

Subscribing to The FINANCIAL REVIEW WEBSITE OR MARKETWRAP5PM

Q. How do I subscribe?

To successfully subscribe you must register, with your personal details, select your package make payment and accept the Subscription Terms. Credit cards accepted include; Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club.

Q. How do I cancel my subscription?

The Financial Review website and MarketWrap5pm subscriptions automatically renew under the Subscription Terms that are accepted at sign-up. Please advise us prior to your renewal date of your cancellation. Your access to afr.com or MarketWrap5pm will expire on the renewal date.

Cancellations will only be accepted by telephone and email. Contact Customer Service on 1800 646 990 between 7am -6pm AEST. Outside of Australia +61 3 8664 3844. Alternatively, email: help@afr.com.au with your name, surname, address and the email address under which your afr.com or MarketWrap5pm account is registered.

Q. Can I use my Fairfax Digital username and password to login to the Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm?

You must register on the Financial Review website and MarketWrap5pm separately to Fairfax Digital. Your username and password to Fairfax Digital will not give you access to the website or MarketWrap5pm. To receive e-newsletters you will also need a Fairfax Digital membership which can be accessed: http://newsletters.afr.com/newMember.aspx

Q. My username keeps being rejected on the registration form, what’s wrong?

Your username must be 6 or more characters and have no spaces. If rejected, it may be that your username has been selected by another user. In this case, please try entering another username.

Q. The registration form does not accept my personal details. What’s wrong?

Ensure that all mandatory fields highlighted have been completed. Any mandatory field not complete will be indicated to you in RED.Your registration will not be processed until all required information has been completed. Q. Can I print from the Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm?

Subscribers can print individual articles in a user friendly format.

Q: Can I unsubscribe to the MarketWrap5pm emails, but still access the website?

Yes, there are two ways you can unsubscribe to the MarketWrap5pm communications but still be able to access the website.

  • Online via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email
  • Directly through Customer Support

    Note that unsubscribing from communications does not cancel your subscription to MarketWrap5pm.

    Q. How can I re-subscribe to MarketWrap5pm emails?

    If you have unsubscribed from MarketWrap5pm emails and would like to receive them again please contact help@afr.com.au to re-subscribe to the daily email.

    Billing & Payment

    Q. How do I pay for my subscription and how will I be billed?

    Your Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm subscription automatically renews on your credit card as a condition of the Subscription Terms. Your credit card will continue to be billed until you advise us that you would like to stop your subscription. If you cancel your subscription your access will expire on the day that your subscription was due to renew. Financial Review website subscribers will still be able to access limited areas of the website including watchhlist’s using your username and password.

    Q. Why do I need to enter my credit card details?

    We ask that you provide a credit card so that your access is not interrupted at the completion of the trial period. It is also required because your subscription auto-renews unless you cancel your subscription.

    Q. I don’t feel safe entering my personal details online.

    Every effort is made to ensure that your transaction is secure and safe. Passwords and credit card details are transmitted in an encrypted form using 128 bit SSL encryption to protect your privacy. Information about how John Fairfax Publications handles your personal details is explained in our Privacy Statement.

    Q. What if I don’t have a credit card?

    It is possible to pay by cheque for your Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm subscription. Please note you will NOT be able to participate in the 14 day trial without a credit card. Payment made by cheque must be for a 12 month subscription. To pay by cheque, please contact our customer service team on 1800 646 990.

    Subscriptions to the Financial Review website

    Q. I already have a subscription to MarketWrap5pm and I now want to subscribe to the Financial Review website, can I do this and not be double charged?

    Subscribers to MarketWrap5pm can upgrade to the Financial Review website which also includes MarketWrap5pm provided you are upgrading for the same subscription term (month or year).

    To upgrade to a Financial Review website subscription go to My Account and select My Subscription. Selected Upgrade to the Financial Review website (afr.com).

    Your new subscription package will commence immediately with a 14 day trial. Upon completion of your trial you will be charged the difference between MarketWrap5pm and the Financial Review website subscription.

    Q. I would like a receipt for my subscription.

    To ensure that you receive an annual Tax Invoice go to My Account and navigate to My Details. Tick the tick the required field and your details will automatically update to receive a Tax Invoice.

    The Australian Financial Review Subscriber Advantage Benefit

    Q. Am I eligible for the Subscriber Benefit?

    If you are a direct Fairfax subscriber to The Australian Financial Review Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday newspaper you are entitled to, at no additional charge, access to Financial Review website.

    To take advantage of this benefit, we require you to provide your subscriber number to identify your eligibility. Alternative, if you are already a member, please update your Financial Review website account with your subscriber number in the My Account section of the website.

    Q. Am I a direct subscriber?

    If you have subscribed directly with Fairfax for The Australian Financial Review , you are a subscriber and will have a subscriber number. To become a Fairfax subscriber sign up online or contact 1800 646 990.

    Q. I’m a print subscriber, where do I find my subscriber number?

    Your subscriber number is provided on all correspondence received from Fairfax Media. Alternatively, please contact Customer Service: help@afr.com.au or call 1800 646 990

    Q. Will I lose my Subscriber Benefit if I cancel my print subscription?

    you cancel your print subscription to The Australian Financial Review we will notify you by email that you will no longer receive the Subscriber Benefit and will be charged a higher rate, unless you advise us otherwise. To avoid being charged at the higher rate please notify Customer Services 1800 887 969 or email help@afr.com.au to cancel your Financial Review website subscription upon cancellation of your newspaper subscription.

    Managing My Account

    Q. What is My Account?

    My Account allows you to update and manage details of your Financial Review website and MarketWrap5pm account. You can amend your profile information and activate the receipt of tax invoices.

    Q. I’ve forgotten my password?

    When you register with the Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm it is important to enter your email address correctly. If you have Forgotten Password please enter your username and email address and you password will be emailed to you.

    To change your password, visit My Account. Login with your existing username and password, and select My Details. Enter your old password, then type in your new password and select Update Password. You will now need to use your new password to log in.

    Q. How do I change my email address?

    Visit My Account and login with your existing username and password, then select My Details enter your new email, then Update. All communication will be sent to your new email address.

    Q. I’m already a subscriber to the Financial Review website, how do I add my Financial Review newspaper subscriber number to receive my subscriber benefit?

    Visit My Account and log in with your username and password. Select My Subscription and under ‘Financial Review Print Subscriber Benefit’ enter your existing newspaper subscriber number and postcode, then Submit.

Using your existing username and password, you will gain access to the Financial Review website and MarketWrap5pm.

    Q. Will I have full access?

    As a Financial Review website subscriber you can access daily news sections, columns and opinions and the weekly news sections, live quotes, search functions, charting data and the article search function giving you search results of up to 50 articles.

    As an MarketWrap5pm subscriber you will be able to access Market Today, Broker Watch, Taking Stock, Columnists, stock quotes and intraday charting, coverage of small caps industry, resources and commodities plus article search function with up to 50 search results

    Q. Can I access the Financial Review website or MarketWrap5pm mobile site from any mobile phone?

    You must have a compatible mobile phone in order to access and use the afr.com and AFR MarketWrap5pm mobile site.
