Behold everyone..here comes the Night King of the Central Railways..!! Now as per many railfans the most prestigious train of CR is considered to be Deccan Queen..but as per my opinion the only train which enjoys the top priority along with the license to crush other trains is none other than the 12289/90 Nagpur Duronto. This Duronto enjoys huge priority on the most congested section of the Central Railways ie. Kalyan-Igatpuri-Nasik-Manmad-Bhusawal-Nagpur. This train not only has a great run on this route but also overtakes many supreme trains like the Punjab Mail,Vidharba Exp,Sewagram exp.,Jhelum exp. etc. On the night of 28th December..i too got to witness it's huge priority which it enjoys en-route to Nagpur.It was also on the same day when both the two titans of Nagpur ie. the 12289 Duronto and the 12113 Garib Rath blast one after another.Thanks to the NTES that i got to witness such a scenario..now after Igatpuri,the 12289 Nagpur Duronto got late by over 30 minutes while on the other hand the 12113 Nagpur Garib Rah was running on time. i was really confused if today the Nagpur Garib Rath would be given priority over nagpur Duronto or not..Now at the clocked ticked at 00:00 hours i once again checked the positions of both the train. On checking i was startled to see that the 12289 Nagpur Duronto was still stuck at Niphad and was yet to cross Manmad jn. while on the other hand the 12113 Nagpur Garib Rath being on time was ready to depart on it's scheduled time.Now i was certain that today i will seeing 12113 blasting before 12289..but it was then the priority of the Nagpur Duronto came into the picture. Now,the 12113 Garib Rath was made to halt for 30 extra minutes until the Nagpur Duronto had crossed the Manmad jn. Now at 00:35 hours the 12289 NGP Duronto crossed Manmad and it was then the 12213 Pune-Nagpur Garib Rath was given the starter.Now as the action shifted to Chalisgaon station..i was all ready with my camera to catch the glimpse of this late running Duronto in it's MPS avtaar. Finally at 1:25 am the starter turned green one after the other and my long patient wait was going to be over...now at 1:32 am i saw a huge beam of light curving from the south end of the station and it was then i started to record this majestic sight. Led by the AJNI's white hunk WAP-7#30315,the 12289 Nagpur Duronto announced it's arrival with a terrific whining show..and then literally teared past the silent Chalisgaon Station at it's full MPS. Enjoy the terrific track sounds produced by the 20 LHB Hybrid cars as it rumbled past one after another at MPS speed.Really the MPS thrashing by the NGP Duronto left everyone at station gaze in awe and it was after 10 minutes of the NGP Duronto's passing that the 12113 Garib Rath blazed past this station at it's MPS pace.
