Nottinghamshire triplets given donated breast milk

22 January 2014 Last updated at 00:24 GMT

Ellen Lingard from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire struggled to produce enough breast milk for her triplets after they were born seven weeks premature.

She turned to a new trial at King's Mill Hospital's neonatal unit which uses milk donations from other mothers to help feed premature babies.

"It is very much like having a blood transfusion," said Jo Lincoln from King's Mill Hospital. "It takes the pressure off mums who are under a lot of pressure to make breast milk."
