The Smith and Wesson Model 64 Military and Police revolver is the stainless steel version of its Model 10. It is a six shot revolver chambered in .38 Special.

The Model 65, is similar but chambered in .357 Magnum, being a stainless steel version of the carbon steel Model 13. The Model 65 cylinder is longer to accommodate the longer .357 Magnum cartridge. The Model 65 was in production from 1972 until some time in 2004-2005, and utilized the same standard K-frame (S&W medium frame) as the Model 64. Beginning in 1980, S&W also produced .357 Magnum revolvers on their "medium-large" frame size ("L-frame") to better handle the higher long-term stresses of the magnum loads, calling the larger frame revolver in stainless steel the Model 686.

The Model 64 Savage also has a full floating barrel, standard. This rifle is considered by many to be more accurate "out of the box" than the Ruger 10/22.

Solomon West Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike (Sinhala:සොලමන් වෙස්ට් රිජ්වේ ඩයස් බන්ඩාරනායක) (Tamil:சாலமன் வெஸ்ட் ரிச்சர்ட் டயஸ் பண்டாரநாயக்கா) (frequently referred to as S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike; January 8, 1899 – September 26, 1959) was the fourth Prime Minister of Ceylon (later Sri Lanka), serving from 1956 until his assassination by a Buddhist monk in 1959.

Bandaranaike was born in Colombo, Ceylon to an elite Sinhalese Anglican Christian family and was the son of the powerful Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranike the Maha Mudaliyar (the chief native interpreter and advisor to the Governor) of Horagolla Walauwa in Atthanagalla, during British colonial rule. In later life he converted to Buddhism in order to join politics. He received his secondary education at St Thomas' College and went on to study at Christ Church, Oxford University, where he was Secretary of the famous Oxford Union. He later qualified as a Barrister in England.

As a young lawyer Bandaranaike became active in the Ceylon National Congress (CNC). He was elected to the Colombo Municipal Council in 1926. From 1931 to 1947 he served in the State Council of Ceylon. In order to promote Sinhala culture and community interests, Bandaranaike organised the Sinhala Maha Sabha in 1936. In 1946 he backed the United National Party (UNP) and held ministerial posts from 1947 to 1951. In 1951, Bandaranaike led his Sinhala Maha Sabha faction out of the UNP and established the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
