Motorola Droid Ultra Review
Lisa Gade reviews the Motorola Droid Ultra on Verizon. The Ultra is the middle entry in Verizon's 2013 Moto Droid line and it sells for $199 on contract. It has a 5" AMOLED display running at 1280 x 720 that actually looks quite sharp. It has a lot in common with the Moto X, including a 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 graphics and companion voice processors that comprise the Moto X8 Computing System. The phone is a 4G LTE phone with GSM roaming and it has dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a GPS. Like the Moto X it has a 10MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and it can take voice commands even when the screen is off. It has a Kevlar back and is available in gloss black and gloss red.- published: 17 Aug 2013

Motorola Droid Ultra Review Part 1
Motorola Droid Ultra Review Part 1
Motorola Droid Ultra Review Part 1 The Ultra has an incredibly thin Kevlar body with a 5-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display on the front, and a glossy finish on the back. On the inside, the 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU with Motorola's X8 system keeps the device running smooth. Users might be surprised by the performance of this revamped quad-core GPU system that Motorola has built from the ground up. The device also comes with a 2,130 mAh battery, 16 GB of internal storage (no microSD card slot), and 2GB or RAM. While the hardware specs sheet may be an eyesore, the way that Motorola utilizes a nearly stock Android experience for this year Droid Ultra model might appeal to the masses. In comparison to the Moto X, the Droid Ultra's OS look and feel still seems tailored to the Verizon Wireless brand. Users shouldn't expect to be blown away by any new graphical change or look in comparison to last year's Droid models. What you will find this year are features like Motorola Assist which lets you set actions and exceptions for notifications while you're driving, sleeping, or in a meeting. In addition, DROID Zap - a quick sharing function - has also made its way to the device. Droid Zap is an easy way for users to share photos with people around you by swiping up with two fingers on the display, while the people receiving the photo swipe down on the display. The newly incorporated feature resembles what we have seen from S Beam on the Galaxy series of devices and AirDrop on iOS 7 (and expected to come with the iPhone 5S). Overall, the new features are a welcome addition to a nearly stock Android 4.2.2 system that fans of the platform will certainly enjoy. The Motorola DROID Ultra is going to be looked at as the leader of the DROID devices during this summer release, but will it stand out among the competition, or even among sister devices like the Moto X? For more details, check out our web site: http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Motorola-DROID-Ultra-vs-Samsung-Galaxy-S4_id3400 Without a doubt, the Motorola DROID Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S4 are top tier smartphones from these respective companies, and carry the same $199.99 on-contract price from Verizon. But that is where most similarities end, as both devices have their own strong-points and short-comings, while trying to get your purchasing attention...- published: 29 Aug 2013

Motorola Droid Maxx Review
Lisa Gade reviews the Motorola Droid Maxx on Verizon Wireless. This is the highest end of the fall 2013 Droid trio on Verizon, and it sells for $299 on contract. The Maxx has the same features and internals as the Droid Ultra, but it doubles storage and significantly increases battery capacity from 2130 to 3500 mAh. The Maxx also features a matte Kevlar finish that's more attractive, grippy and resists fingerprints. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean smartphone features Moto's active notifications, always-on voice command and Droid Zap. It has a 5" AMOLED 1280 x 720 display, Moto's X8 processing platform with two cores for speech and motion processing plus a dual core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU with Adreno 320 graphics. It has 2 gigs of RAM, 32 gigs of internal storage, dual band WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a GPS, front camera and rear RGBC 10 MP camera with LED flash.- published: 10 Sep 2013

In fact, both the DROID Mini and DROID Ultra share similar features, such as the 1.7GHz Motorola X8 SoC, 10MP Clear Pixel camera, and Kevlar construction. Motorola DROID MAXX Review
For more details, check out our web site: http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Motorola-DROID-MAXX-Review_id3412 There are a few key differences between the Motorola DROID MAXX and the DROID Ultra -- first the MAXX has a higher capacity 3500mAh battery to provide longer usage time, as well as 32GB of internal memory instead of only 16GB, and soft-touch coating on the back of the device. Because of these extra features, the Motorola DROID MAXX has a premium price of $300 with a 2-year Verizon contract, making it $100 more than the DROID Ultra. Are these extra features worth the price of the DROID MAXX? Let's take a closer look...- published: 09 Sep 2013
