Plot
If you have ever retained the memory of a dream long after waking up, it is because this dream has a feeling of significance. Chimera is an imaginative drama that uses this experience to explore the quarter-life crisis of Philip, an irresponsible asthmatic in his late 20's who wants nothing more than to find a place where he can escape the rat-race lifestyle. In his dream, Philip is led by a mystical figure to an archaic wheat field. Convinced this place to be his Utopia, Philip is determined to locate it in the physical world.

Plot
Emily Lindstrom, 14, is an aspiring concert violinist; she's spending the summer practicing for a big audition while her girlfriends are at camp. She's also got a thriving neighborhood business: for 50 cents, she'll keep your secret. Her mother is very pregnant, and her parents seem more concerned about the new baby than anything Emily cares about. A new family moves in next door; their son, Philip, 12, becomes Emily's friend. Eventually, the weight of Emily's secrets - her own, the ones she's keeping professionally, and a secret Philip tells her, send her life temporarily crashing down.

Plot
Baptista, a rich Paduan merchant, announces that his fair young daughter, Bianca, will remain unwed until her older sister, Katharina, a hellish shrew, has wed. Lucentio, a student and the son of a wealthy Pisan merchant, has fallen in love with Bianca. He poses as a tutor of music and poetry to gain entrance to the Baptista household and to be near Bianca. Meanwhile, Petruchio, a fortune-hunting scoundrel from Verona, arrives in Padua, hoping to capture a wealthy wife. Hortensio, another suitor of Bianca, directs Petruchio's attention to Katharina. When Hortensio warns him about Katharina's scolding tongue and fiery temper, Petruchio is challenged and resolves to capture her love. Hortensio and another suitor of Bianca, Gremio, agree to cover Petruchio's costs as he pursues Katharina.

Plot
Along a rocky, barren coastline, Jesus begins teaching, primarily using parables. He attracts disciples; he's stern, brusque, and demanding. He comes to bring a sword, not peace, he says. He's in a hurry, moving from place to place near the Sea of Galilee, sometimes attracting a multitude, sometimes being driven away. His parables often take on the powers that be, so he and his teachings come to the attention of the Pharisees, the chief priests, and elders. They conspire to have him arrested, beaten, tried, and crucified, just as he prophesied to his followers. After he dies, he appears to his disciples and gives them final instructions.

Plot
Tried and true story of 3 buddies, young men thrust into danger (in this case, World War I aviation), some of whom come back, while some are less lucky. Films about WW1 fliers had been spectacularly successful in the US around the turn of the 1930s, like "Wings," "Hell's Angels," and "Dawn Patrol." The Fox Studio evidently hoped this particular story, written by Furthman and others, had enough box office potential that Fox filmed it in 2 versions, the original English-speaking one (see under "Body and Soul" (1931)), and this Spanish-language "Cuerpo y alma" [literal translation of "Body & Soul"]. In the Spanish version the 3 fliers were played by Lewis (Farrell's role), Alcantara (Bogart), Nieto (Dillaway) and the 2 women by Custodio (Landi) and Soler (Loy). It's ironic that this Spanish version actually ran a half-hour longer than the original English one (99 min. vs. 70 min.), even though it's the same story filmed in the same sets. Perhaps Fox was so disappointed with the English-speaking result that after completion the studio cut it down radically (to play on US screens as part of a double feature), while the Spanish version actually preserved intact the complete original story...? (Something similar did happen that same year to the English and Spanish versions of "Dracula.")

Allmusic's Jim Brenholts awarded the album four of five stars, calling the music "brilliant". Benholts wrote that Shankar's "smooth" style and Glass' dissonant orchestrations mixed well, and recommended Passages to fans of other minimalist composers such as John Cage, Steve Reich and Terry Riley.

A classic, a timeless classic. This is the 1998 full-length version of Philips Glass' soundtrack to Godfrey Reggio's Koyaanisqatsi, released in 1983. It was the first of the 'qatsi' trilogy, and preceded Baraka by along shot. This version of the soundtrack adds three tracks and includes the original full versions of The Grid and Prophecies. Listening to it in its entirety might induce a feeling of going insane at times (!) but there is no denying the power and brilliance of the music. Arguably, the originally released, 'short' version of Koyaanisqatsi is an 'easier' listen.

A personal favourite in the Glass canon, this is Philip Glass' 1988 soundtrack to Godfrey Reggio's interweaving of sight and sound, Powaqqatsi. This soundtrack was recorded in between Music in Twelve Parts and 1000 Airplanes on the Roof. Lush, vivid, rich tapestries of visual sound textures form a transporting whole which, as a work of music enjoyed on its own without the original visuals, arguably holds together better than its predecessor, the more famous Koyaanisqatsi. Gorgeous.

Sir Philip Green (born 15 March 1952) is a British businessman. Green began as a businessman at the age of 15. The first and last quoted company Green took lead of was "Amber Day", from which he stepped down as CEO and Chairman in 1992. Since then he has had links to a range of British companies; including a hostile bid for Marks and Spencer and the management of the Arcadia Group, both alongside or supporting his wife. He has been involved in a range of controversies related to both his personal and business life.
Philip Green was born on 15 March 1952 in Croydon, in South London, and has a sister, Elizabeth, five years his senior. His family moved to Hampstead Garden Suburb, a middle-class enclave in north London, and at the age of nine he was sent to the now-closed Jewish boarding school Carmel College in Oxfordshire. When his father died of a heart attack, Philip was in line to inherit the family business at the age of twelve. After leaving boarding school at 15, he worked for a shoe importer before travelling to the US, Europe and the Far East. It was on his return that he set up his first business with a £20,000 loan, importing jeans from the Far East to sell on to retailers in London.

Phillip LaDon Phillips, Jr. (born September 20, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter from Leesburg, Georgia, and the winner of the eleventh season of American Idol.
Phillips was born in Leesburg, Georgia, the son of Sheryl (née LaDon) and Phillip Phillips, Sr. He grew up in Sasser and Leesburg, and attended Lee County High School. He graduated from Albany Technical College with a major in Industrial Systems Technology, but missed the graduation ceremony due to his obligations to American Idol. Prior to appearing on American Idol, he worked at his family's pawn shop.
Phillips said his favorite singer is Jonny Lang, and other favorites include John Butler, Dave Matthews and Damien Rice. He described his music as "jazz, rock alternative sound". Phillips was mentored by long time friend and brother-in-law Benjamin Neil.
Phillips auditioned in Savannah, Georgia. He sang "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. The judges then asked him to perform a second song with his guitar, and he performed Michael Jackson's "Thriller." He advanced to the Hollywood rounds, and later to the Las Vegas round.

Philip DeFranco (born December 1, 1985), is an American video blogger and YouTube celebrity. His videos are centered on current events, politics and celebrity gossip in which he gives his opinion, usually presented in an ironic manner and with frequent jump cuts to create a fast-paced feel. He has over 824 million views, and over 2 million subscribers, and is the 17th most subscribed YouTuber as of March 13, 2012. His second YouTube channel is called "PhilipDeFranco" and he also makes a series of vlogs which he calls "The Vloggity".
DeFranco started his YouTube channel in 2006, and his videos regularly surpass one million views daily. His large audience led to his winning of a Spore Creature Creator contest and Wired's Sexiest Geek of 2008 award, both open access online polls.
DeFranco was born December 1, 1985, in The Bronx, New York, United States. He was a student at 2 Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and later a junior at East Carolina University. DeFranco said in an interview he had inherited polycystic kidney disease from his father and grandfather. He lives with his girlfriend Lindsay Jordan Doty (LinzLoves) and their two Yorkshire Terriers Rookie and Ace ventura pet detective.

Philip Glass (born January 31, 1937) is an American composer. One of the highest profile composers writing "classical" music today, he is often said to be one of the most influential composers of the late 20th century. His music is also often controversially described as minimalist, along with the work of the other "major minimalists" La Monte Young, Terry Riley and Steve Reich.
He has lately distanced himself from the "minimalist" label, describing himself instead as a composer of "music with repetitive structures." Though his early mature music shares much with what is normally called "minimalist", he has since evolved stylistically. Currently, he describes himself as a "Classicist", pointing out that he is trained in harmony and counterpoint and studied such composers as Franz Schubert, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Nadia Boulanger.
Glass is a prolific composer: he has written works for the musical group which he founded, the Philip Glass Ensemble (with which he still performs on keyboards), as well as operas, musical theatre works, ten symphonies, eleven concertos, solo works, chamber music including string quartets and instrumental sonatas, and film scores. Three of his film scores have been nominated for Academy Awards.
