She was undergoing a health treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata. Even at this age, she had not lost her magnetism and looked as serene and beautiful as she was in her younger days. She is survived by her daughter Moon Moon Sen and her grand daughters Raima Sen and Riya Sen.
Suchitra Sen was admitted to the Belle Vue Clinic in South Kolkata sometime in the last week of December 2013. She was suffering from a chest infection. In fact, Dr. Subrata Maitra the renowned surgeon was heading the seven member medical board, responsible for her treatment. Her condition fluctuated from stable to critical and today she passed away after a sudden heart attack. She was 82.
