Gary MacKenzie
Gary MacKenzie (born 15 October 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Doncaster Rovers. He was called up to the Scotland national side in 2011 and 2012, however remains uncapped.
Career
MacKenzie started his career as a youth player at Rangers. He has made two appearances for the first team (at the end of the 2003–04 season), against Motherwell and Dunfermline, respectively. Since leaving Rangers, MacKenzie was quoted as saying: "I would have loved to have got my chance when I was with Rangers, but it never happened for me. They gave some young boys their chance tonight and maybe part of that is down to what’s happening at the club right now. You don’t want to see any club struggling, especially not one you used to play for. These guys are getting a chance and maybe things would have been different if I stayed."
Dundee
He joined Dundee on a free transfer in June 2006 under the management of Alex Rae and signed a two-year contract. He made his debut, on the opening game of the season, in a 1–0 loss against Partick Thistle. Later in the season, MacKenzie would be often used in first team ins and out in his first season.
