FSU may refer to:

John James "Jimbo" Fisher (born October 9, 1965) is an American college football coach and former player. He is currently head coach at Florida State University.

As a senior student at Samford University Fisher was the 1987 NCAA Division III National Player of the Year. From 2000 until 2006 he served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at LSU. From 2007 to 2009 he was offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and, beginning in 2007, head coach-in-waiting for the Florida State Seminoles. Bobby Bowden, Florida State's head coach of 34 years, retired after the team's appearance in its 28th consecutive bowl game on 1 January 2010. Fisher took over as head coach soon after. Florida State is Fisher's first head coaching position and he led them to a 10-4 record during his first season. His inaugural year marked FSU's first 10-win season since 2003 and first appearance in the ACC Championship Game since 2005.

Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Fisher attended North View Junior High School and Liberty High School before going to Salem College (now Salem International University) in Salem, West Virginia where he played quarterback under head coach Terry Bowden from 1985-1986. When Bowden left for Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Fisher transferred with him to play his final season for the Bulldogs where he was named Division III National Player of the Year. Fisher still holds multiple school records at Samford.

Robert Cleckler "Bobby" Bowden (born November 8, 1929) is a retired college football coach. He coached the Florida State Seminoles football team from the 1976 to 2009 seasons. During his time at Florida State, Bowden led FSU to an Associated Press and Coaches Poll National Title in 1993 and a BCS National Championship in 1999, as well as twelve Atlantic Coast Conference championships since FSU joined the conference in 1991. After a difficult 2009 season and amid questioning fans, Bowden announced his retirement from FSU on December 1, 2009, just weeks after his 80th birthday. His final coaching appearance was the 2010 Gator Bowl game on January 1, 2010, with a 33–21 victory over his former program, West Virginia.

Bowden finished his career second in all-time wins by a Division I-FBS coach with 389 wins. A March 6, 2009 NCAA ruling requiring Florida State to "vacate wins for any games in which an ineligible player participated," threatening to remove as many as 14 of Bowden's wins from the 2006 and 2007 seasons in relation to an academic scandal; Florida State appealed the ruling. The NCAA upheld the ruling on January 5, 2010. Upon final investigation by Florida State University it was determined that Bowden was to vacate 12 wins, bringing his final career record to 377–129–4.

Erik "EJ" Manuel Jr. (born March 19, 1990) is an American football quarterback. He currently plays college football as the quarterback for the Seminoles of Florida State University. He took over the position from Christian Ponder late in the 2009 season due to Ponder's shoulder injury.

Manuel was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He attended Bayside High School, where he played football. In 2004, as a freshman, he started at quarterback and threw for 589 yards and seven touchdowns, as well as rushing for 119 yards and one touchdown. As a sophomore, he recorded 1,332 passing yards and eight touchdowns as well as 276 rushing yards and six touchdowns. As a junior, Manuel threw for 1,973 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 345 yards and five touchdowns. In 2007, as a senior, Manuel passed for 1,859 yards, 18 touchdowns and rushed for 541 yards. He was considered a five-star recruit by Scout, a four star recruit by Rivals and both sites, as well as Sports Illustrated, listed him the second best quarterback. An All-American quarterback in high school, Manuel was recruited by then FSU Offensive Coordinator Jimbo Fisher, now the head coach.

Emerson Eugene "Gene" Deckerhoff, Jr. (born May 2, 1945) is the radio play-by-play announcer of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a post he has held since 1989. He also has served as the longtime broadcaster of Florida State Seminoles athletics, including its football team (on the radio from 1979–present), its basketball team (on the radio from 1974–present), and its baseball team (on TV). For football games, Gene works alongside former FSU fullback William Floyd. For basketball games, Keith Jones serves as his color commentator.

He also has broadcast games for the Arena Football League's Orlando Predators and Tampa Bay Storm as a television play-by-play announcer. He also voices the P.A. announcer for EA Sports Madden NFL, NCAA Football and Arena Football games.

Deckerhoff formerly hosted a 30-minute weekly TV show with former FSU head coach Bobby Bowden called "The Bobby Bowden Show" in which they reviewed the previous day's game. The show regularly featured a segment with Burt Reynolds, an FSU alum who played for the Seminole football team in the 1950s.
