Hejian (Chinese: 河間市 / 河间市, pinyin: Héjiān Shì, Wade Giles: Ho Chien, alternative romanization: Ho Dsien[1]) is a county-level city in the Cangzhou prefecture, in Hebei province, China. In 2004, Hejian population was ca. 770.000 inhabitants and the city territory was 1.333 km2 (0.515 sq mi). Hejian is situated along China National Highway 106.
Séraphin Couvreur (1835-1919) and Léon Wieger (1856-1933), two French Jesuit missionaries have worked at the Catholic Jesuit mission in Hejian.
