Why Should You Attend:
The PPACA law requires states to establish new Health Insurance Exchanges or American Health Benefit Exchanges similar in many ways to the Massachusetts Health Connector or Utah Health Exchange. Instructor Profile:
Tony Gutierrez, is Vice President of Integrated Benefit Solutions, Inc./White Bear Group Consulting. He has expertise is group life, health and voluntary benefits. Tony is currently a member of and webmaster for the Triangle Association of Health Underwriters. He is also technology chair for the North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters. Tony has served as media relations chair for the Triangle chapter, NC state chapter, and National Association of Health Underwriters. He has been to Washington on several occasions representing health insurance agents and brokers to discuss Health Reform legislation. He is an experienced course designer, developer, and instructor. Tony has a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from NC State.
Teresa C. Gutierrez, is President of IBS/White Bear Group insurance and consulting group. She is a certified Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). Teri is Past President of the Triangle Association of Health Underwriters, Awards Chair North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters and past President of the Raleigh Life Underwriters Association. Her professional achievements include two Seabury & Smith Director’s Council National Awards. Teri is currently Vice President, NC Association of Heath Underwriters. Teri brings over 20 years of experience in group health, self-funding, disability, life, and voluntary benefits for mid-size businesses. Teri was also appointed to represent health insurance agents and brokers on the new North Carolina Health Benefit Exchange and Insurance Oversight Workgroup preparing for the NC Health Insurance Exchange in 2014 as mandated in the PPACA legislation. Teri has bachelor degrees in Marketing and Business Administration from Barton College, NC.
