I am unable to find out What production this one is. My thoughts are it's the 2006 one. I'm sure i will be corrected if wrong. The Apple Tree is a series of three musical playlets with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and a book by Bock and Harnick with contributions from Jerome Coopersmith. Each act has its own storyline, but all three are tied together by a common theme (someone who believes that they want something, but once they get what they wanted they realize that it wasn't what they wanted) and common references, such as references to the color brown. The first act is based on Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve; the second act is based on Frank R. Stockton's The Lady or the Tiger?; the third act is based on Jules Feiffer's Passionella. The musical opened on Broadway on October 18, 1966 at the Shubert Theatre and ran for 463 performances, closing on November 25, 1967. It was produced by Stuart Ostrow, directed by Mike Nichols and starred Barbara Harris, Alan Alda, and Larry Blyden. Harris won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. The Apple Tree also received several other major Tony nominations: Bock and Harnick for Best Composer and Lyricist, Nichols for Best Direction of a Musical, Lee Theodore for Best Choreography, and the show itself for Best Musical. The Encores! staged concert production ran from May 12, 2005 through May 16, 2005, and starred Kristin Chenoweth, Malcolm Gets and Michael Cerveris. The Roundabout Theatre Company mounted a revival that ran from December 14, 2006 until March 11, 2007 with Kristin Chenoweth in Harris' roles, Brian D'Arcy James in Alda's roles and Marc Kudisch in Blyden's. The consensus of reviews was that the playlets themselves are all creaky with age, the music interesting but not inspired, and Chenoweth's performance a marvel and the evening's only important attraction. It ran for 18 previews and 99 regular shows for a total of 117 performances.

After receiving his degree, Kudisch went to New York City and was cast as Conrad Birdie in the Barry Weissler-produced national tour of Bye Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune and Ann Reinking. He has been nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his roles in 9 to 5 (2009), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2005) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002), as well as the Outer Critics Circle Award, and the Drama Desk Award.
Andréa Burns (born February 21, 1971) She is an American actress, singer and songwriter, primarily featured in theatre, recordings and television. She is married to Director Performer Peter Flynn, whom she met while touring in West Side Story. They have a son named Hudson who is featured on the cover art of her solo album, A Deeper Shade of Red.
Burns was born in Miami Beach, Florida to a Jewish father and a Venezuelan mother. She has described herself as "...a Venezuelan Jewess from Miami Beach who grew up loving Broadway theatre." The French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts alumna began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in West Side Story when she was 18 years old. She has appeared on Broadway as Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty, and has sung concerts at Carnegie Hall, and other American concert halls, but theatre audiences know her best for her performance in the original company of Jason Robert Brown’s critically acclaimed Songs for a New World. Andréa portrayed Lucille Frank in the national tour of Parade, directed by Harold Prince, for which she received a Touring Broadway Awards nomination for Best Actress. She also created the role of Celeste in Stephen Sondheim ’s Saturday Night at Second Stage Theatre.
