Es ist ca. 4 km von Stellenbosch und ca. 50 km von Kapstadt entfernt. Asara is ein perfekter Platz zum Entspannen und Abschalten. Der Name Asara stammt von den drei afrikanischen Göttern: Assis (Sonne), Asase (Erde) und Astar (Himmel). Das Asara Wine Estate ist 180 ha groß.

Asara (Persian: آسارا, also Romanized as Āsārā) is a city in and the capital of Asara District, in Karaj County, Alborz Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population (including the amalgamated villages) was 1,030, in 282 families; Asara village alone had a population of 430, in 125 families.
The city of Asara was formed from the former villages of Asara, Rey Zamin, Sira, and Pol-e Khvab.
