World is a common name for the whole of human civilization, specifically human experience, history, or the human condition in general, worldwide, i.e. anywhere on Earth or pertaining to anywhere on Earth.
In a philosophical context it may refer to:
In a theological context, world usually refers to the material or the profane sphere, as opposed to the celestial, spiritual, transcendent or sacred. The "end of the world" refers to scenarios of the final end of human history, often in religious contexts.
World history is commonly understood as spanning the major geopolitical developments of about five millennia, from the first civilizations to the present.
World population is the sum of all human populations at any time; similarly, world economy is the sum of the economies of all societies (all countries), especially in the context of globalization. Terms like world championship, gross world product, world flags etc. also imply the sum or combination of all current-day sovereign states.
A general assembly is a meeting of all the members of an organisation or shareholders of a company.
Specific examples of general assembly include:

January… It’s this time of the year when we look back and make the review of the past twelve months. It is also this time of the year when we proudly remember our best achievements in improving lives through education. And all that, thanks to the generous donations of our supporters. Today, we are happy to share with you our TOP stories of lives through the ORT network. Let’s have a look back together and get inspired for the year ahead.
An organisation is only as good as the people in it. World ORT is blessed with hundreds of highly talented, skilled and committed individuals who come together every four years for the General Assembly where they elect a new line-up of lay leaders and set the course for the future. It is also an opportunity for everyone to meet; to forge and deepen friendships, share experiences and, last but not least, visit World ORT programmes and meet students. This year, hundreds of delegates from five continents attended our General Assembly in Jerusalem during which they visited some of the impactful education programmes managed by World ORT’s arm in Israel, World ORT Kadima Mada. A fantastic time was had by all, leaving everyone thrilled by the energy and enthusiasm generated when we work togeth...

This compilation is part of ORT schools' response to an international push made by Australian film maker Eli Rabinowitz to engage new generations with their Jewish history. For Yom HaShoah, ORT schools in the FSU learnt and sang the partisan song Zog Nit Keynmol. Originally an online programme, ORT schools and non-ORT schools connected not only to learn the song's Yiddish – or Hebrew – words but also to delve into its meaning and historical significance and to share what they learn. ► Check our Facebook page for more information about this project https://www.facebook.com/WorldORT/videos/1644129308935070/ ► Visit World ORT's website www.ort.org

This video shows the extraordinary impact of the ORT Central Institute for training World ORT instructors, which operated at Anières, near Geneva. For more than 30 years following its opening in 1949, the Institut Central ORT, as it was known in French, trained thousands of competitively selected students from 30 countries. Hundreds of graduates became instructors in ORT programs around the world, while others made significant contributions to industry, research and the economic progress of developing countries. Video by Jacques Levy-Bonvin
The video shows the process of work in the Digital Skills Academy in Bulgaria. Witch took place in July 2015. It consisted of students between the ages of 14 and 18. The academy is organised by World ORT and Lauder-ORT School - Sofia, Bulgaria.
This video brings us up to date with several graduates of Anières I, to describe their years of study and the career paths they have taken. They have not forgotten their beautiful years spent at Anières, where thanks to ORT, they could study in the idyllic setting provided by the Institute. The majority of these graduates have had brilliant careers as engineers, teachers, writers, lecturers, industry leaders, company founders and directors. Many also joined the ORT network as teachers and directors of ORT schools around the world. Their testimonies highlight ORT's universal values for the future graduates of Anières II. Film made by Jacques Levy June 2013 Thanks to the support of ORT Switzerland and ORT France
Government education departments across the globe are now beginning to overhaul the way science is taught, and support teachers with new knowledge, new methods, and new resources. Space is the ideal way for school children to encounter science. Astronomy opens children's minds to imagine vast distances, question the origins of the universe, and appreciate the beauty of stellar and planetary images. Astronomy can also provide a springboard to the entire spectrum of science subjects including physics, biology, and radiology, and also has linkages to social science subjects such as geography and history. These presentations will highlight some of the ongoing developments in the Northern Ireland curriculum specifications and assessment to encourage our children to engage with space and how tea...

I am the voice
I am the radio
You hear me loud and clear
Across the open sky
Into the night
You hear me loud and clear
I was thinking you're a part of my mind
Breathing sleeping talking two of a kind
I'm the voice in your head
(do you read me)
The word you just said
(do you hear me)
Aah - the world goes spinning around
Aah - and you all join in with the sound
Aah - we sing with one voice
Like a world radio
Aah - we sing with one voice
Like a world radio
I feel the pain
I feel the joy and love
You hear it loud and clear
But should the music stop
I'll feel so low
I'll fade and disappear
I'm just thinking that we're two of a kind
Think I know what's going on in your mind
When the red light goes on
(can you tell me)
Is your green light still on
(do your hear me)
Aah - the world goes spinning around
Aah - and you all join in with the sound
Aah - we sing with one voice
We're a world radio
Aah - we sing with one voice
We're a world radio
The world goes spinning around
Aah - we all join in with the sound
Aah - we sing with one voice
Like a world radio
We join in with the sound
The world goes spinning, spinning around
Aah - we sing with one voice
We're a world radio
[Solo]
Aah - we sing with one voice
We're a world radio
Radio
Is the green light on
(can you tell me)
Don't put your red light on
(do you read me)
I know the green light's on
Don't put, don't put your red light on
