Fairfax Employment Classified Job Advertisement Policy

Fairfax Employment connects candidates with legitimate, specific jobs from advertisers all across Australia. Our Employment Classified Job Advertisement policy has been written to provide responsible and clear guidance to advertisers on the types of jobs and content that we accept for publishing as classified job advertisements.

This Policy, together with the Fairfax Media Advertising Terms and Conditions, Fairfax General Conditions of Use, Fairfax Privacy Policy and any additional terms, conditions, notices and disclaimers displayed elsewhere on the Fairfax Network ("Conditions") govern your use of and access to the Fairfax Network.

1.0 Developing a successful job advertisement

1.1

The most appealing, discovered and successful job advertisements (Material) are for a single, legitimate, specific job and include the following information:

  • Name of advertiser;
  • Advertiser address, name of contact and their phone number and email address details;
  • Specific job title;
  • Specific salary details or salary range on a per annum, daily or hourly basis. In the instance it is a commission only job, that is clearly stated;
  • Specific job location and access to transport or parking;
  • Specific work type: part-time, full-time, temporary, contract, shift-work or in relevant cases, specific duration of work;
  • Title of manager and the number of direct reports, if any;
  • If it is a newly created role;
  • Clear position description, specifying duties and tasks that are expected;
  • If travel is required;
  • Successful candidate skill set;
  • Information about the culture, values and ethos of the business;
  • Information about the onsite facilities e.g. gym, parking, child care and employee benefits

1.2

We want your job advertisement to be discovered by the best and most relevant candidates. On our website/s we employ our own search engine/s and other technologies to enable your job advertisement to be presented in relevant search results and website features. As a result we strongly deter advertisers from submitting Material that is incomplete (see Section 1.1 for guidance on best practise Material and what we view as complete) as it limits the Material being optimised by our technology and minimises the discovery of your job advertisement by candidates.

2.0 Acceptance of Material

2.1

Our service team monitor the Material provided for publishing and its content. Fairfax reserve the right to reject your Material. Where practical, our service team will provide guidance on how to meet the Fairfax Employment Job Advertisement Terms and Conditions to enable revisions to be made to the job advertisement and Material to be published.
