A multinational corporation (MNC) or multinational enterprise (MNE) is a corporation enterprise that manages production or delivers services in more than one country. It can also be referred to as an international corporation. They play an important role in globalization.

Corporations may make a foreign direct investment. Foreign direct investment is direct investment into one country by a company in production located in another country either by buying a company in the country or by expanding operations of an existing business in the country.

Napalm Death are an extreme metal band formed in Birmingham, England in 1981. While none of its original members remain in the group, the lineup of vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Danny Herrera has remained consistent for most of the band's career.

Napalm Death are credited with defining the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of hardcore punk and death metal, short songs, fast tempos, deep guttural vocals and sociopolitical lyrics. The band's debut album Scum, released in 1987 by Earache Records, proved substantially influential throughout the global metal community.

Napalm Death have released fifteen studio albums and are listed by Nielsen SoundScan as the seventh best-selling death metal band in the United States.

Napalm Death were formed in the village of Meriden near Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, in May 1981 by Nic Bullen and Miles Ratledge while the duo were still in their early teenage years. The duo had been playing in amateur bands since 1980 as an extension of their fanzine writing, and went through a number of names (including "Civil Defence," "The Mess," "Evasion" and "Undead Hatred") before choosing Napalm Death in mid 1981.

John Gerard Ruggie (born October 18, 1944) is the Berthold Beitz Professor in Human Rights and International Affairs at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and Affiliated Professor in International Legal Studies at Harvard Law School. He has been Dean of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where he taught for many years; he has also taught at the University of California's Berkeley and San Diego campuses and directed the UC systemwide Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation. He has twice served as a senior official in the United Nations.

Ruggie was born in Graz, Austria, son of Josef and Margaret Ruggie, was raised in Toronto, Canada, and moved to the United States in 1967 to attend graduate school. He married Mary Zacharuk in 1965, with whom he has one son.

Ruggie is widely considered to be one of his generation's most influential political scientists. For example, he introduced the concepts of international regimes and epistemic communities into the international relations field; adapted from Karl Polanyi the term embedded liberalism to explain the post World War II international economic system among western capitalistic states; and was a major contributor to the emergence of the so-called constructivist approach to international relations theorizing, which takes seriously the roles of norms, ideas and identities alongside other factors in determining international outcomes. A survey in FOREIGN POLICY magazine has named him as one of the 25 most influential international relations scholars in the U.S. and Canada.
