KTVO is the ABC-affiliated television station for the Honey Lands area of Northeastern Missouri and Southeastern Iowa. Licensed to Kirksville, Missouri, it broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 33 from a transmitter northwest of Downing, Missouri along US 136. The station can also be seen in Iowa on Mediacom channel 5 (HD on digital channel 803) and in Missouri on Cable One channel 6 (HD on digital channel 455). Owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, KTVO's main broadcast facility is located on US 63 two miles north of Kirksville. A secondary news studio and operations are maintained at 111 South Market Street in downtown Ottumwa, Iowa.
When the FCC lifted the "Freeze of '48"—the nationwide halt to reorganize TV frequencies—on April 14, 1952 the VHF channel 3 was assigned to the Kirksville, Missouri market. This prime channel attracted the attention of North Missouri Broadcasting Partners, a group led by former U.S. Congressman Sam "Wat" Arnold and Sam Burk, owners of Kirksville radio station KIRX, who had already been discussing the feasibility of adding a television station to their operations. Hoping to defray the costs and risk of the new venture, in early 1953 the Kirksville group joined with another led by James J. Conroy, owner of KBIZ in Ottumwa, Iowa. In return for shares in KBIZ, the Kirksville group would allow construction of a tower and transmitter site whose signal would cover both Kirksville and Ottumwa. Following FCC approval, a 1,100 foot tower was built near Downing, Missouri.
Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio and television personality, producer, author, actor, and photographer. He is best known as the host of The Howard Stern Show, his long-running radio show which gained popularity when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005 before its move to Sirius XM Radio in 2006. Stern first wished to be on the radio at five years of age. He landed his first radio jobs while at Boston University—WTBU, the campus station, and WNTN in Newton, Massachusetts. From 1976 to 1982, Stern developed his on-air personality through morning positions at WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, New York, WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut, WWWW in Detroit, Michigan, and WWDC in Washington, D.C. Stern worked afternoons at WNBC in New York City from 1982 until his firing in 1985.
In 1985, Stern began a 20-year run at WXRK in New York City, where his show was syndicated to 60 markets and attracted 20 million listeners. Stern won numerous awards, including Billboard’s Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year eight times. He became the most fined radio host when the Federal Communications Commission issued fines totaling $2.5 million to station licensees for content it deemed indecent. Stern became one of the highest paid radio figures after signing a five-year deal with Sirius in 2004 worth $500 million. In recent years, Stern took up photography and has had work featured in Hamptons and WHIRL magazines. From 2012 to 2015, he served as a judge on America's Got Talent.

February 9, 2009 "my friend" uploaded some funny names to my local TV station for the Bdays and Annys to be announced at 6:50 AM the following day, Feb 10, 2009. I slept in and missed it!! I checked online to see if they even listed them but they didn't put them online. I thought it was a fail. Most of the names came from a bart simpson name calling website and them some "my friend" had heard elsewhere. It had taken "my friend" like 20 minutes to go through the submission process for each bday and anny. It wasn't until April fools day when my cousin posted the youtube video to his facebook page that I realized they had actually read them. He had saw it on Kimmel (who called it an "April Fools Joke", when actually it aired February 10th). I was completely blown away by the hits it h...
No speed limit
No red lights
Hear the squealin'
Of the tires
I'm living for
The thrill of speed
Coz nothing else
Feeds my needs
Race down the highway, right down in the middle
Let's hear the devil, playing his fiddle
Here comes the rebel, never be a quitter
Don't tell me, my life ends on a litter
Put the pedal to the metal
You are a faint, I am a winner
Put the pedal to the metal
You are the saint, I am the sinner
No stoppin' me
I'm too fast
My life is speed
What a blast
I'm living for
The thrill of speed
Nothing else
Fulfils my needs
Race down the highway, right down in the middle
Let's hear the devil, playing his fiddle
Here comes the rebel, never be a quitter
Don't tell me my life ends on a litter
Put the pedal to the metal
You are a faint, I am a winner
Put the pedal to the metal
