Epic theatre
Epic theatre (German: episches Theater) was primarily proposed by Bertolt Brecht who suggested that a play should not cause the spectator to identify emotionally with the characters or action before them, but should instead provoke rational self-reflection and a critical view of the action on the stage. Brecht thought that the experience of a climactic catharsis of emotion left an audience complacent. Instead, he wanted his audiences to adopt a critical perspective in order to recognize social injustice and exploitation and to be moved to go forth from the theatre and effect change in the world outside. For this purpose, Brecht employed the use of techniques that remind the spectator that the play is a representation of reality and not reality itself. By highlighting the constructed nature of the theatrical event, Brecht hoped to communicate that the audience's reality was equally constructed and, as such, was changeable.

Going to Epic Theatres to See Super Mario Bros | Tour of Epic Theatres & Super Mario Bros Review
In today's video, we wanted to go see the new Super Mario Bros movie and do a review on it. Since we have done theater tours and reviews, we also wanted to try another theater. We decided to do Epic Theatres and went to the one in Mount Dora, FL. There are other Epic Theatres around and we have even gone to one in Ocala, FL. It is a nice theater. It is a little pricey but it has a unique style of getting your food. They have everything already out for you to grab and then all you have to do is check out. The movie was fantastic! We really enjoyed it. We would go back and watch it again. Hopefully, this is a helpful video if you want a tour around Epic Theatres. Stay tuned for another video coming soon. Are you ready to learn something about the world? Then you're ready for Bertolt Brecht, and his ideas about Epic Theater. Brecht wanted to lean into the idea of theater as a tool to upset and educate the world about stuff like the struggles of the working class and the problematic aspects of capitalism. He wanted to SHOCK people into seeing the world as it is and taking action, rather than merely entertain audiences. But, he messed up, and wrote some pretty entertaining stories, with some really catchy music integrated into it. And do, people ended up whistling Mack the Knife instead of throwing off the shackles of an oppressive social order. To be fair, it is a catchy tune. Today you're going to learn about Brecht, Epic Theater, and a little bit about the House UnAmerican Activities Committee. Because those jerks hauled Brecht up in 1948 to shake him down about whether or not he was a communist.

In today's video, we wanted to go see the new Super Mario Bros movie and do a review on it. Since we have done theater tours and reviews, we also wanted to try another theater. We decided to do Epic Theatres and went to the one in Mount Dora, FL. There are other Epic Theatres around and we have even gone to one in Ocala, FL. It is a nice theater. It is a little pricey but it has a unique style of getting your food. They have everything already out for you to grab and then all you have to do is check out. The movie was fantastic! We really enjoyed it. We would go back and watch it again. Hopefully, this is a helpful video if you want a tour around Epic Theatres.

Epic theatre
Epic theatre (German: episches Theater) was primarily proposed by Bertolt Brecht who suggested that a play should not cause the spectator to identify emotionally with the characters or action before them, but should instead provoke rational self-reflection and a critical view of the action on the stage. Brecht thought that the experience of a climactic catharsis of emotion left an audience complacent. Instead, he wanted his audiences to adopt a critical perspective in order to recognize social injustice and exploitation and to be moved to go forth from the theatre and effect change in the world outside. For this purpose, Brecht employed the use of techniques that remind the spectator that the play is a representation of reality and not reality itself. By highlighting the constructed nature of the theatrical event, Brecht hoped to communicate that the audience's reality was equally constructed and, as such, was changeable.
