Homeless advocates march casket from Freedom Plaza to Mitch Snyder's gravesite

In 2013 25 homeless people died on the streets of DC as this is written.
In memory of each and every one of them, homeless people and homeless
advocates marched carrying a casket from Freedom Plaza to a memorial
service at New York Ave Presbyterian Church, and from there to Mitch
Snyder's final resting place.
Mitch Snyder was the most effective homeless activist in DC until his
death in 1993. He is remembered for such achievements as a since watered
down right to shelter law, and for opening the CCNV shelter by a
protracted occupation of the then-empty building.
