Rock Your Students' World, Part 2: The Synonym-Antonym Jumping Game
"The Synonym-Antonym Jumping Game" is the second of my 4-part "Rock Your Students' World" series of instructional videos. I filmed these short videos with five of my former students one day after school so that I could share with teachers and parents some of the active learning strategies I use in my classroom. Rock Your Students' World is also the name of a teacher resource book I've written, and my hope is that it will be released in the not-too-distant future. The book includes over 100 brain-compatible activities and ideas that incorporate movement, music, and storytelling into the classroom. In this video series the focus is on the first of these components: movement. Specifically, the four activities demonstrated in the videos highlight what I call "concept-embedded movement," in which the activity itself features a type of movement that represents, matches, or embodies the meaning of the content students are expected to learn. Thus, when students move around and participate in the activity, they are actually bringing the content to life. In this first video students learn the difference between synonyms and antonyms.- published: 28 Feb 2014

Zeljko Joksimovic - Synonym (Eurovision 2012 Serbia)
Pratite Željkov put na Eurosong i na Twitteru: http://www.twitter.com/zzeljko Zeljko Joksimovic - Synonym / LYRICS Sunshine every single day, Sunny day for sunny sorrow, I was happy yesterday, Easy come and easy go. You, can you feel the rain, Beating of my heart, colour of my pain? Leave the love and go, I ll be silent, I will know, What a shame I love you line Now it sounds like a crime. Late to ask you why, How you knew to say goodbye, But I know the life is dream, Every love and pain are only synonym. Baby, leave the love and go, Take tomorrow, take it all, What a shame I love you line Now it sounds like a crime Have you ever seen a man, Beggin you on bleeding knees If you want to break me down So do it, do it please, Second, baby, give me second, To remember every night I made you sad Too bad Too late to blow my head Baby, leave the love and go, Take tomorrow, take it all, I must live God knows why It is my turn to cry Too late to die.- published: 28 Feb 2014

David A Smith - Sign Artist
David A Smith is a name that has become synonymous in Sign-Writing and Glass gilding circles, with high quality, hand crafted reverse glass signs and decorative silvered and gilded mirrors.
In this short documentary, we reveal behind the scenes work, techniques and visions that Dave uses when carrying out his passion as a glass embosser - One of the few remaining traditional UK glass artists.
