Wonders of The Lost Lycian Civilization
This video is about the Lycian Civilization that lived in south west Turkey during the Iron Age and Classical Greek period.
They were a distinct culture, but they were heavily influenced by the ancient Greeks, who were their neighbors and the more dominant culture in the region.
However, The Lycians do have their own unique cultural heritage. They are most famous for the rock cut tombs that they carved out of the cliffs of their rugged landscape.

Lycia - Broken days
"I will not sleep, tonight,
too many thoughts,
muscles too tight.
here in the dark I'll replay
all that has passed, my youth,
the glory of broken days.
Cold winter sun, rises, decays
I'll just get up to stay drunk all day
too many doubts, thoughts that delay
it is now gone, it's gone, the glory of broken days."
"It's the human who should control him emotions.. no this ones to him"

Where does Mother Earth Goddess come from? / Lycia History Documentary
"In Search of the Earth-Mother of Anatolia"
A documentary which looks at the root of the Earth Mother goddess common to European pagan religions; call her Cybele, Rhea, Ceres, or whatever - she comes from Anatolia and spread out in various forms from the Neolithic to the Iron Age. One late form was Artemis of Ephesus, an Anatolian version of a Greek goddess who was then sent back to Europe in her new form. This film focuses mainly on the Lycians, who were an early Indo-European people in Anatolia who seem to have preserved more of the pre-Indo-European Anatolian religion and culture than most.

Lycia - Drifting
One of the best song about one of the best album of one of the best ambient-cold wave band all over the world: Lycia
mother Mary, feel me prevail...
you're not anything at all
drifting, fading, clean, sharp detail...
you're not anything at all
stationary, vivid and clear...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, save your tears...
I'm not anything at all
I don't think that I, I don't think that i...

mother Mary, broken and pale...
you're not anything at all
watching, waiting, withered and frail...
you're not anything at all
visionary, wasted, stagnant years...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, silence your fears...
I'm not anything at all
mother Mary, feel me fade
hear me whisper, hear me fade
drifting, waiting, feel me fade...

If you haven't been to Turkey, you probably haven't heard of them before, but they have surprising connections to the present. Their political system under the Lycian League partly inspired the founding fathers of the United States when they were drafting their constitution and deciding how Congress would work.
One of their largest cities, Myra, was the home of the original Santa Claus, called Saint Nicholas, who was the bishop of that city in the early 4th century AD.
This video provides a big picture look at this long lost culture that didn't quite make it into the history books. It covers their tombs, architecture, language, writing, and their place in the larger mediterranean context, such as the Greek world, the Persian Empire, the conquests of
Alexander the Great, Roman expansion, and the spread of Christianity.

This film focuses mainly on the Lycians, who were an early Indo-European people in Anatolia who seem to have preserved more of the pre-Indo-European Anatolian religion and culture than most.

you're not anything at all
stationary, vivid and clear...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, save your tears...
I'm not anything at all
I don't think that I, I don't think that i...
can feel anything at all, and i...
mother Mary, broken and pale...
you're not anything at all
watching, waiting, withered and frail...
you're not anything at all
visionary, wasted, stagnant years...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, silence your fears...
I'm not anything at all
mother Mary, feel me fade
hear me whisper, hear me fade
drifting, waiting, feel me fade
in the distance, far away

One of the best song about one of the best album of one of the best ambient-cold wave band all over the world: Lycia
mother Mary, feel me prevail...
you're not anything at all
drifting, fading, clean, sharp detail...
you're not anything at all
stationary, vivid and clear...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, save your tears...
I'm not anything at all
I don't think that I, I don't think that i...
can feel anything at all, and i...
mother Mary, broken and pale...
you're not anything at all
watching, waiting, withered and frail...
you're not anything at all
visionary, wasted, stagnant years...
you're not anything at all
mother Mary, silence your fears...
I'm not anything at all
mother Mary, feel me fade
hear me whisper, hear me fade
drifting, waiting, feel me fade
in the distance, far away
