China's Diaoyu-Senkaku Islands Air Defense Fun Zone! | China Uncensored
As if tensions between China and Japan over the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands weren't high enough, China has decided to establish an air defense identification zone over a huge chunk of the East China Sea, including, you guessed it, the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands. Now nationalistic fervor is out of control and neither side is willing to back down. If push comes to shove, the US military has vowed to back Japan. But will things escalate to outright war? China electronic reconnaissance Plane flys over Diaoyu Senkaku Islands Secret hidden from scene
The recent tensions and incidents between the Chinese and Japanese militaries have led to heated discussions about the possibility and consequences of another Sino-Japanese war among observers from military and academic circles, as well as the public. Although the outbreak of a full-scale war has been largely ruled out, Chinese observers warn of conflicts ignited by unexpected emergencies, in which China is rated as having the edge over Japan despite potential US interference. The relationship between Beijing and Tokyo soured after Japan's so-called nationalization of the Diaoyu Islands in the East China Sea in September last year. Against that backdrop, military ties have encountered several tests since early this year. In the latest case, China's defense ministry lodged a solemn representation to Tokyo over a Japanese warship's breaking into the live-fire drill zone of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in the West Pacific. In response, Japan vowed to continue its surveillance activities. As the PLA Navy concluded its war games on Friday, Japan kicked off a massive 18-day military exercise, including an island capture drill and deployment of missiles on Miyako Island, which is believed to bolster its capability in blocking the Chinese navy's passage to the West Pacific. The rhetoric and drills from both sides have led many people to ask if the two countries would fight a war in the near future. Amid those concerns, an analysis from Russian experts first published in September 2012 resurfaced on China's Internet forums and news portals. In the Russian report, Vasiliy Kashin, a senior research fellow at the Moscow-based Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, predicted a "humiliating failure" for China if a war with Japan over the Diaoyu Islands breaks out, citing Japan's advanced weaponry and personnel training. Another Russian expert cited by the report, Konstantin Sivkov, first vice president of the Academy for Geopolitical Issues, however, believed the Japan Self-Defense Force would lose if China's leadership is determined to reclaim the disputed islands but indicated that the Chinese military would be defeated by Japan's ally US. The Russian analysis drew more than 11,000 comments on Chinese news portal sina.com.cn, with Net users deliberating the conclusions. On tiexue.net, a discussion group, Net users struck a more upbeat note on the outcome of military conflicts, and demanded reclaiming the Diaoyu Islands by force. Liu Jiangyong, a vice dean of the Institute of Modern International Relations at Tsinghua University, told the Global Times that due to its pacifist constitution, Japan is unable to launch a war and its recent rhetoric about shooting down Chinese drones is a psychological war to test China. Major General Luo Yuan, a vice president of the China Strategic Culture Promotion Association, told the Global Times that the assessment by Russian experts was inaccurate due to their outdated information, but it reminds China to remain cautious. Luo said neither side has the intention to fight a full-fledged war. "China's defense capability has seen a great leap. Japan has neither the guts nor the capability to fight such a war," he said. A military expert from the PLA Air Force, who asked to remain anonymous, shared similar views, noting that the Chinese foreign ministry's repeated statements over the Diaoyu Islands have shown Beijing's will to solve the dispute through peaceful means. Last week, China's media carried extensive coverage of the nuclear-powered submarine fleet, which is seen as a deterrent to any attempted provocation. "Japan may excel in its anti-submarine capability, but it doesn't have nuclear submarines as well as marines, and lags behind China in its number of naval aircraft models," Luo said. The air force expert said potential US involvement is definitely a factor complicating the situation, but insisted China keeps developing its comprehensive strength. "This is not 1895 nor the 1940s when China suffered huge humiliations. It is gradually reversing its inferiority and gaining momentum," he said. According to Luo, the incomplete national defense structure of Japan indicates its needs for US support in various fields including logistics and intelligence, however, it remains in doubt whether the US is willing to confront the world's second-largest economy for Japan. Senkaku Islands Tension Leading to War? Syrian Civil War Rages On, Obama Care Update and More
http://usawatchdog.com/weekly-news-wrap-up-12-6-13/ - The U.S. says it has sided with Japan over the Senkaku Islands and China's newly created Air Defense Zone. The U.S. now seems to have backed off demanding the Chinese drop this air defense zone that stretches for 600 miles. The dispute is far from over. The Syrian civil war rages on, and now there are new charges of atrocities the U.N. says have been committed by the Assad regime. In the latest Obama Care news, apparently, you cannot keep your doctor either! USA Today reported this past week that "Doctors are getting Dropped" from insurance plans. There are also glaring security issues according to computer experts. Join Greg Hunter of USAWatchdog.com as he analyzes these stories and more in the Weekly News Wrap-Up.- published: 06 Dec 2013

okonomiyaki {japan Vol.01}
Just arrived in Tokyo, having this mad craving for some "okonomiyaki"; so I called up my Taiwanese/American mate from highschool who just landed a job in Japan to come along.
Now okonomiyaki is a "western Japan food" (Tokyo is east), but the dish is widely popular. However what we were looking for was a bit different. We were looking for some "Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki" which is a multi-layered pancake which is hard to make and not easy to find in Tokyo.
So I went to Shibuya to meet up with my friend, and... woah what the hell is going on!? Why is everyone holding a flag!? Japanese 4th of July!? ...well no, apparently there was a huge anti-China rally going on that day. The main issue is the territorial dispute on who owns the Senkaku Islands.
(I have no comments on this - All I can think about was okonomiyaki!)
Anyways, I brought my 7D along to take all the pancake fliping actions. I experimented on some new techniques in post, including the what I like to call "neo-letter boxe" lol.
Hope that everyone can enjoy!
Thanks for watching (^^)

glossary
▲ Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki meaning "grill / cook / stir-fry". Okonomiyaki is mainly associated with Kansai or Hiroshima areas of Japan, but is widely available throughout the country. Toppings and batters tend to vary according to region. (For more please google)
△ "umai"(うまい) is an extremely versitile Japanese adjective for compliments with meanings close to "super / superb". You can compliment on a person's skill, taste of a food or someone's good fortune.

20120819- Rev Hyung Jin Moon Sermon-Eng-CBG-LLM
Report given by our International President Rev Hyung Jin Moon
August 19, 2012
This English translation below is from a video on August 19, 2012 (Sunday), in which Rev Hyung Jin Moon gave a detailed report on True Father's Health
Good morning, everyone. First, I would like to give thanks to God and True Parents. We also have to give thanks to those who have come from a long way across the seas. To the True Children I would like to give thanks because they have come such a long way. Please give a round of applause.
My older sister Ye Jin Moon and her family are here. Please recognize them. And my sister In Jin Moon. My younger sisters Yeon Jin Moon and Jeung Jin Moon are here. Please applaud for my two younger sisters. And Sun Jin Moon’s family is here. And also Kwon Jin Moon’s family is here. Right now in the hospital surrounding True Mother, there is Kook Jin Moon’s couple, and the daughters-in-law are there. They are staying with True Mother during this time.
I would like to give thanks to all of our brothers and sisters across the world. Many, many brothers and sisters from all countries, whether it’s Brazil or Russia or any other country, are offering jeongseong and prayers—an incredible amount of prayers for the sake of True Parents. And so today my words are not just addressed to the Cheon Bok Gung but to all members around the world. So let’s give a round of applause to all members around the world.
Bodies Connected to the Providence
We need to remember that Father is not just a normal person. Father’s body is not just a normal body. About 10 years ago in America, Father went through a very difficult situation with his health. I think many members already know about this, but at that time Father had to have heart surgery because water kept coming in. On the day that he went into the hospital, the Iraq war began.
[Hyung Jin Moon’s emotion overcomes him.] My older brother is telling me to take deep breaths.
True Parents’ minds and bodies are always connected to the providence. If we look at the world today, there are many dangerous situations. In 2005, Father predicted the pan-Pacific age, and he said that particularly the island nations are in danger. He said that Russia and China may use their overwhelming strength to take over the island countries, that this kind of a time may come. Seven years ago he predicted this. And now we are witnessing that reality. We see that Chinese citizens landed on Senkaku Island, and the Japanese police took them into custody. That is a situation where there’s a great possibility for conflict.
You have seen the statistics that Kook Jin Moon gives in his lecture “Strong Korea.” Even now Korea and Japan are having conflict because of various issues, whether it’s the Dokdo [Island] issue or other issues. Actually these free countries need to unite as one to stand up against the countries of communist dictatorships: They need to defend themselves against this challenge. This is a very important period in that sense. But instead we are fighting over a small island, and that’s what the world is witnessing. The United States, economically now, is just standing by quietly.
In the Divine Principle words we see in Part II the prophecy about the third world war. Depending on the human portion of responsibility that war may be an actual war, or it may be a conflict of ideologies. But the Divine Principle says that a third world war must come, one way or another.
In this incredibly important time, Father, who is responsible to save the world, pushed himself way beyond his limits. He went back and forth between Korea and the United States. And as soon as he would arrive, he would have assemblies, and he would speak for three hours, four hours, and he would have Hoon Dok Hwe for 13 hours, 14 hours, 15 hours. I’ve been attending True Parents for the last year and a half, and this is how it has been continuously.
It may be confusing, so I will make references according to the solar calendar. On July 16th, Father returned from Las Vegas to Korea. When he was still in the plane, he contacted Korea and told all the members to gather in the Cheongshim World Center. I’m sure you remember, and you all attended there. Then at that event he sweated as he spoke for three or four hours, giving us his words. And then the next morning he spoke again at Hoon Dok Hwe. The workshop for the Original Divine Principle was going on at that time, so he received the participants in that workshop.
Lungs of a Coal Miner
Then from that time his health seemed to be a little bit strange. As I was attending Father for a year and a half, when Father would catch cold, or when he would have a slight fever, or when he would be feeling bad, I would see him recover many times, dozens of times. When it was difficult, then he would take a rest; after that, the next day, he would come to Hoon Dok Hwe again and would be very active and animated. I saw that many times.

A major conflict between the region's two largest economies would not only impose a harsh dilemma on U.S. diplomats, but also have a significant impact on the entire global economy. It is in every nation's best interest that the Chinese and Japanese settle their territorial dispute peacefully.
