O fato dos orientais não dividirem corpo e mente como nós ocidentais fazemos atraiu desde a infância o pensamento de Jorge Veschi. A imprevisibilidade nas artes marciais e o caminho de habilidade de cada modalidade de luta interessou-lhe como aplicação na clínica. Veschi sempre se encantou pela diversidade de culturas e línguas, o que o levou a estudar tantos idiomas (até o momento, são quinze), e a clínica oferece essa multiplicidade, onde cada paciente apresenta seus códigos, como se cada paciente falasse um idioma próprio. A ruptura com a língua materna ou com seus próprios paradigmas e modo de ver o mundo traz uma crise, mas também uma oportunidade essencial para a clínica. Mono no aware - A partir do período Tokugawa os "kokugakushu" estudantes da cultura natural japonesa passam a procurar as bases da cultura japonesa não influenciada pelas estrangeiras. Um destes estudiosos mais influentes foi Motoori Norinaga (1730--1801), linguista e literato, inventou este termo "mono no aware" para definir a essência da cultura japonesa. A frase deriva de aware que, no período Heian significa "sensitividade", "tristeza", "sentidos", "sensibilidade para com as coisas", está perto do sentido de "pathos" grego que significa a capacidade de ser afetado. Motoori considerava este o único caráter da cultura japonesa, ou seja, a capacidade de experenciar o mundo objetivo de uma maneira direta, compreender simpatéticamente os objetos e o mundo natural circundante ser empregar a linguagem ou outras mediações. Os japoneses poderiam comprender o mundo diretamente ao identificarem-se com o mundo; além disso os japoneses podiam utilizar a linguagem para expressar esta conecção direta com o mundo -- através da poesia denominada Manyoshu. As pessoas podem experimentar a totalidade da vida através do encontro com as coisas (mono), este encontro "mobiliza", ou "toca" (aware). Este conceito se tornou o conceito estético central do Japão. Shinto
Shinto , also kami-no-michi, is the indigenous religion of Japan and the people of Japan. It is defined as an action-centered religion, focused on ritual practices to be carried out diligently, to establish a connection between present-day Japan and its ancient past. Founded in 660 BC according to Japanese mythology, Shinto practices were first recorded and codified in the written historical records of the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki in the 8th century. Still, these earliest Japanese writings do not refer to a unified "Shinto religion", but rather to a collection of native beliefs and mythology. Shinto today is a term that applies to the religion of public shrines devoted to the worship of a multitude of gods , suited to various purposes such as war memorials and harvest festivals, and applies as well to various sectarian organizations. Practitioners express their diverse beliefs through a standard language and practice, adopting a similar style in dress and ritual, dating from around the time of the Nara and Heian periods.
