Shake off all the worries on your mind and smile! The dogs featured in SHAKE are simply here to offer you a couple minutes of wonder and laughter. :)
SHAKE is based on a photography series of the same name by co-director Carli Davidson. The work was inspired by her own dog Norbert, whose drool she regularly cleans off walls due to his own frequent shaking.
In 2012 the Variable team stumbled upon Carli Davidson's photo-series-gone-viral, "SHAKE", and immediately fell in love with the images of dogs that she was able to capture. The combination of innocence and ridiculousness had us all hysterically laughing, and of course thinking; "We NEED to meet this Carli and bring her images to life!" Fortunately for us, Carli responded to our enthusiastic e-mail with an even more enthusiastic e-mail stating that she was totally down to collaborate and had a very similar vision! After months and many meetings of trying to figure out how we could even afford to make this film, we all just decided to empty our pockets, pull some serious strings, and make the video purely for the fun of it.

Be a Vegetarian
Thinking of steering away from 3d for a moment, at the same time expressing our creativity in different styles of animation and showing what we would also love to work on , we have stumbled upon a new idea during a morning coffee.
With every next sip and smile the story and characters evolved and we found ourselves laughing more and more imagining loony animals puking each other out wanting to become vegetarians. From the first concepts of our silly new animal friends and all the way to everything else: coloring , animation , music and sounds , we were constantly tweaking story and characters back and forth to make good idea even better.
So, with coffee stains all over our desks from bursts of laughter and 4 week behind us, we proudly present you “Be a vegetarian”. We have enjoyed working on this piece and we hope you will enjoy watching it.

Une fille stellaire, une fille solaire qui s’accroche à la lune et débarque sur une terre inconnue, un sol non foulé, immaculé comme sa tenue blanche.
Est-ce la fin du réel, le début d’un rêve ?
Le nouveau film Vanessa Buno réalisé par Stéphanie Di Giusto offre un visage, celui de Kate Bosworth.
Elle habite une maison irréelle, posée là dans le désert d’un espace temps improbable, où tout devient possible, comme défier l’apesanteur et le temps.
Son passé ressurgit. Il est léger et inconscient : une main d’enfant qui caresse son visage, une piscine sous le soleil de la Californie, des rires, des vies.
Kate fonce et ne se retourne plus, il y avait les souvenirs et maintenant il y a l’horizon, l’avenir à inventer, à imaginer, comme dans un conte futuriste.
Elle se révèle enfin à la lune, telle une jeune femme messie illuminée d’une pensée tellurique.
