A night out under the stars with the ZWO ASI 224 MC Cooled Color Camera using Astro Live USB software to capture! A whole slew of targets: M1, M2, M15, M27, M57, M74, NGC6946, IC5146 Scope: Celestron C14 - 14" SCT Reducer: Starizona Hyperstar - f2 Filter: 2" Light Pollution Filter Mount: Celestron CGEM Camera: ZWO ASI 224MC Cooled - cooled to 0 degrees C Software: AstroLive USB for capture and live viewing Deep Sky Stacker for post stacking PixInsight for post capture processing Shot from heavily light polluted skies in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, USA. Good seeing and transparency
This was first light with my ZWO ASI 224mc Cooled Color camera. Unfortunately, the seeing and transparency were TERRIBLE, so it doesn't really do the camera justice. I was hoping to compare this to the Atik Infinity and show testing of the Beta of AstroLive USB, but conditions actually got worse rather than improving as forecasted :-( Mount: Celestron CGEM Scope: Celestron C11 @ f/10 Camera: ZWO ASI 224mc Cooled Color (non-cooled mode)
Jupiter, Saturn, M13 (Hercules Cluster), and M51 (Whirlpool Galaxy) through a Celestron C6N 6" Newtownian Reflector. Using the ZWO ASI 224MC for Jupiter & Saturn (3x Barlow) and the Atik Infinity for M13 & M51 at Native f/5. Why this video: Most videos and forums discuss and show Schmidt–Cassegrain (SCT) or Refractor Telescopes in action. Reflector telescopes are very cost effective, especially when you get into larger apertures. I have had a lot of questions regarding how well the Atik Infinity Live Video Camera and ZWO ASI 224MC Planetary/DSO camera would work on a Reflector as most of my videos are with my SCT or Refractor. This video puts a 6 inch Celestron Newtonian Reflector to the test to see how well it does on Planetary and DSO! Equipment Used: Celestron C6-N (Newtonian ...
Saturn and 5 of its moons - live video with stacked image showing 5 of Saturn's moons. Transparency was bad (2/5) but seeing was very good (4/5) – this was shot in my backyard and the light polluted skies of Atlanta! Moons from top to bottom: Rhea Tethys Dione Enceladus Titan Scope: Celestron C14 - 14" SCT Barlow: Televue 2x (f/22) Mount: Celestron CGEM Camera: ZWO ASI 224MC Cooled - uncooled Software: SharpCap RegiStax PhotoShop Shot from heavily light polluted skies in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, USA. Good seeing.
This video is the second night of using the ZWO ASI 224 Camera, only this time I was using the much smaller AT 72mm Refractor Telescope. This music in this video was created by myself using LMMS. I just started using this software, so this is my first song. Comments are always welcome.
