Parole, Inc. (1948) [Enhanced] - Public Domain Universe - Alfred Zeisler
As federal agent Richard Hendricks lies badly hurt in a hospital, he dictates a full report for the bureau chief on his last assignment: Richard is hired by the governor, attorney general Whitmore and police commissioner Hughes to go undercover as parole violator Richard Murdock in order to expose a corrupt parole board. The start of Richard's investigation coincides with the parole hearing of Harry Palmer, who was convicted of attempted murder. Parole board chairman Rolfe Holiday, who has a history of voting for the release of un-reformed criminals, allows Palmer's parole. Palmer's wife Glenda works as a waitress at The Pasttime Café, a nightclub owned by Jojo Dumont. Jojo operates an illegal punchboard racket with the help of Palmer's old gang and club manager Charley Newton. Two weeks before Palmer's release, Richard goes undercover as Murdock, but uses the alias "Rick Carson" to add authenticity to his act. He begins frequenting Jojo's club, and after Palmer returns, Duke Vigili, one of Jojo's henchmen, reveals his suspicions that Rick is a government agent. As Richard had expected, Jojo orders his room searched, and the men conclude that "Rick" is Richard Murdock, the man responsible for a successful bank heist the previous year. Now accepted into the gang, Richard gives Palmer an advance payment for arranging the parole of his partner in the heist, Monty Cooper, who was in prison with Palmer. Jojo's boyfriend, lawyer Barney Rodescu, who heads the parole racket, receives Palmer's parole payment and, assuming he has turned stool pigeon, orders his death. After Jojo's henchman, Blackie Olson, shoots Palmer dead, Richard offers to help Glenda find her husband's killer, and she identifies Rodescu as the secret head of the parole racket. Meanwhile, Rodescu has arranged for Cooper's parole and subsequent employment on a farm. After he discovers that the farm is Rodescu's hideout, Richard plants a sound recording device in the farmhouse. He also instructs Glenda to send telegraphs in Rodescu's name to the parole board, ordering them to the farm. Holiday and board member Titus Jones take the bait and arrive at the farm. Rodescu then traces the telegrams to Glenda and orders Newton to kill her, but she is rescued by commissioner Hughes. When Cooper arrives at the farm, he recognizes Richard as the government man who arrested him and Murdock. Richard is consequently beaten up and shot in the leg before the police arrive and rescue him, then arrest the gang. Back in the hospital, Richard is now recovered.
Note: some minor enhancement work was done to improve the quality of the old source picture and soundtrack. Nothing was added or removed. Enjoy this full free movie!

Alfred Zeisler (26 September 1892 – 1 March 1985) was an American-born German film producer, director, actor and screenwriter. He produced 29 films between 1927 and 1936. He also directed 16 films between 1924 and 1949. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and died in Camano Island, Washington.

The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss
The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss is a 1936 British romantic comedy film directed by Alfred Zeisler and starring Cary Grant. It is a remake of the 1920 film The Amazing Quest of Mr. Ernest Bliss.
The film was re-issued in the United States in 1937 under the title The Amazing Adventure (also alternatively Romance and Riches), and was edited down from the original UK running time of 80 minutes, to 62 minutes. Most prints these days are the shorter one.
Plot synopsis
Ernest Bliss (Cary Grant) is a rich socialite suffering boredom. He makes a bet for $50,000 with a doctor, Sir James Aldroyd, that he can live for a year, working at whatever jobs he can find, supporting himself solely on whatever pay he earns, and not relying on any of his accumulated wealth. Despite a good effort on his part, he ultimately loses the bet when he has to draw money to wed poverty stricken Frances Clayton (Mary Brian), to save her from an unhappy marriage of convenience.

The Amazing
The Amazing is a Swedish band whose members include Reine Fiske, who plays with Dungen, and Christoffer Gunrup, who played in Granada and with Anna Järvinen. Fredrik Swahn, Alexis Benson, and drummer Moussa Fadera are also in The Amazing.
Self-titled debut
The Amazing released their self-titled debut on April 29, 2009 on Subliminal Sounds. The disc was reviewed by the Daily News, and others including Sydsvenskan, and the Swedish newspaper, Svenska Dagbladet. In connection with the first disc, the group played on the program P3 Pop on Swedish Radio P3.
Gentle Stream to present
Gentle Stream was released in 2011. The Amazing did a Daytrotter session on December 5, 2012. They played, "Gone" from the album on Late Night with David Letterman on January 18, 2013. The Amazing appeared on World Cafe on February 6, 2013.
Their fourth album, Picture You, was released on February 17, 2015. Allmusic noted that it "is the culmination of all their work, with a combination of wonderfully rich arrangements, inspired playing and singing, and a batch of lengthy songs that both warm the heart and expand the mind".

As federal agent Richard Hendricks lies badly hurt in a hospital, he dictates a full report for the bureau chief on his last assignment: Richard is hired by the governor, attorney general Whitmore and police commissioner Hughes to go undercover as parole violator Richard Murdock in order to expose a corrupt parole board. The start of Richard's investigation coincides with the parole hearing of Harry Palmer, who was convicted of attempted murder. Parole board chairman Rolfe Holiday, who has a history of voting for the release of un-reformed criminals, allows Palmer's parole. Palmer's wife Glenda works as a waitress at The Pasttime Café, a nightclub owned by Jojo Dumont. Jojo operates an illegal punchboard racket with the help of Palmer's old gang and club manager Charley Newton. Two weeks before Palmer's release, Richard goes undercover as Murdock, but uses the alias "Rick Carson" to add authenticity to his act. He begins frequenting Jojo's club, and after Palmer returns, Duke Vigili, one of Jojo's henchmen, reveals his suspicions that Rick is a government agent. As Richard had expected, Jojo orders his room searched, and the men conclude that "Rick" is Richard Murdock, the man responsible for a successful bank heist the previous year. Now accepted into the gang, Richard gives Palmer an advance payment for arranging the parole of his partner in the heist, Monty Cooper, who was in prison with Palmer. Jojo's boyfriend, lawyer Barney Rodescu, who heads the parole racket, receives Palmer's parole payment and, assuming he has turned stool pigeon, orders his death. After Jojo's henchman, Blackie Olson, shoots Palmer dead, Richard offers to help Glenda find her husband's killer, and she identifies Rodescu as the secret head of the parole racket. Meanwhile, Rodescu has arranged for Cooper's parole and subsequent employment on a farm. After he discovers that the farm is Rodescu's hideout, Richard plants a sound recording device in the farmhouse. He also instructs Glenda to send telegraphs in Rodescu's name to the parole board, ordering them to the farm. Holiday and board member Titus Jones take the bait and arrive at the farm. Rodescu then traces the telegrams to Glenda and orders Newton to kill her, but she is rescued by commissioner Hughes. When Cooper arrives at the farm, he recognizes Richard as the government man who arrested him and Murdock. Richard is consequently beaten up and shot in the leg before the police arrive and rescue him, then arrest the gang. Back in the hospital, Richard is now recovered.
Note: some minor enhancement work was done to improve the quality of the old source picture and soundtrack. Nothing was added or removed. Enjoy this full free movie!
