IF she was worried about being accused of helping cover up her billionaire husband's role as an alleged pilot in a deadly helicopter crash then Elle Macpherson wasn't giving anything away.

The glamour Aussie model yesterday jetted out of Heathrow London with her children to the United States where hubby Jeffrey Soffer faces a $100 million law suit for the wrongful death of his best friend Lance Valdez died in a chopper crash in the Bahamas last November.

The legal action in a Miami court relates to Mr Soffer allegedly "recklessly flying a controlling" a helicopter without a valid licence when it crashed.

Macpherson is named in the lawsuit as allegedly helping her then boyfriend in obtaining a letter of indemnity from Mr Valdez's family saying they would not prosecute anyone else on board for the crash in exchange for $2 million insurance payout. He has strongly denied the allegation and will fight the lawsuit.

The 49-year-old Macpherson splits her time between Miami and London. She yesterday looked relaxed as she chased after her children through Heathrow Airport security smiling briefly for the cameras. It is believed she is returning to Miami for Christmas.
