1 When is the website updated?

News.com.au is updated around the clock as news breaks.

2 Is there an app for my mobile device?

Download the News.com.au iPad app via iTunes. News.com.au can be accessed on mobile phones via our mobile site. There are a number of mobile apps for Apple and Android that save News.com.au articles including Pocket (formerly Read It Later).

3 How do I make News.com.au my homepage?

4 How do I create a News.com.au shortcut on my phone?

For iPhone, go to news.com.au in your Safari browser, this will redirect to mobile.news.com.au.  Tap on the Share button at the bottom of the screen. Tap Add to Home Screen. You can then edit the name of the icon, press Add in the top right corner.

For Android, go to news.com.au in your Internet browser, this will redirect to mobile.news.com.au. Tap the right hand side of your device to show the settings, tap on Add shortcut to Home Screen.

We do not accept ad hoc freelance contributions.

7 How can I get work experience at News.com.au?

Hands-on experience of our working environment and direct access to our people is the most valuable learning opportunity we can offer to aspiring media professionals.

Work experience for up to a week is provided for secondary school students. Internship placement of between 4 and 6 weeks may be offered to tertiary students undertaking a relevant course of study that requires practical experience.

Candidates must provide full contact details and some standard information from their educational institution. A Certificate of Currency confirming personal accident and liability insurance is also needed.

Past newspaper articles are available News Corp Australia's online news archive service Newstext

Newstext is a text-only editorial archive where articles are available for purchase. The archive contains no advertisements, classifieds, public notices, photographs, graphics or tables. If you need to review any of these items you will need to view back issues of our publications.

Back issues of our publications are available on microfilm at your nearest State Library, and most local community libraries can assist in obtaining recent copies of newspapers. School, TAFE and university libraries may also be of assistance.

10 How do I obtain a photograph that appeared on News.com.au?

2 Why is it possible to comment on some articles but not others?

Some stories are subject to legal constraints. Comments will not be opened on stories that may jeopardise court action or result in vilification.

2 Does News.com.au use cookies?
