New Year sees new fire recruits join Tata Steel
Having passed out at a ceremony just prior to Christmas, three HFR Solutions apprentices have started the New Year at Tata Steel in Scunthorpe.
Llewi Downing, Daniel Barker and Ben Foster went through a rigorous selection process, including the national firefighter selection tests, just to get on to the two year apprenticeship with HFR Solutions. Upon completion of their initial firefighter training, they have each been assigned a watch at Tata Steel which began this week and they will begin their NVQand additional qualifications in English, Maths andICT supported by Stoke on Trent College.
