The Dancefloor Troubadours are a collective of box room rebels, art school malingerers, and romantic misfits. Fronted by lead singer Henry Shaw, Henry takes influences from Springsteen, Strummer, Marr & T. Armstrong. The Dancefloor Troubadours released their debut EP 'The Scribbles of a Madman' in 2016. Recorded in a bedroom, a rehearsal room, a stairwell and a Big Yellow Storage, the four-track EP bursts with 1977’s London Punk Rock Energy, Lower East Side Beats and Salford Lads Club Heartbreak Wanderlust. 2018 will be a busy year for The Dancefloor Troubadours with plans to release another EP followed by their debut album.

Henry Shaw is a Melbourne based writer/director/singer and has been creating work for the past 6 years. Trained at Melbourne University in classical voice, his interest in singing developed into a love of all types of theatre making, having since directed productions of Drowsy Chaperone, Amadeus, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Musical of Musicals the Musical, Der Schauspieldirektor, Mozart and Salieri and most recently The Offenbach Retold Triptych as part of the Melbourne Fringe festival. As a performer, Henry shifts between musicals, operas and plays with roles such as Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana), Caiaphas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Minister of the Interior (Clockwork Orange) and Himself but French (Now You See Me). In between productions, Henry enjoys cooking, board games, sunsets and long walks on the beach.
