NZV8 is a monthly automotive magazine and website that focuses on V8 cars, car clubs and the related culture predominantly in New Zealand, but also Australia and the USA.

Its readership is 96,000

It was the third automotive magazine to be published by Parkside Media, the other two being NZ Performance Car and NZ Classic Car.

NZV8's offices are in Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand.

The magazine's tagline was originally Feel the power. It was changed in issue 32 (January 2008) to NZ's top circuit, strip and street machines.

Daily news articles are available weekdays which are additional to magazine content. Full magazine articles are available from previous issues, often including additional photos and information (including videos) that could not be fitted into the magazine. Some writers run blogs on the website, and a forum is run as a subsite to encourage user interaction.

Users can purchase books related to muscle cars, Pony cars, V8s and motorsport, as well as back issues and subscriptions in the online shop.

Rob Gibson MSP (born 10 October 1945) is a Scottish politician. A member of the Scottish National Party (SNP), he was elected to the Scottish Parliament to represent Caithness, Sutherland and Ross in the 2011 election. Gibson was first elected to the Scottish Parliament in the 2003 election for the Highlands and Islands, and was re-elected for this region in 2007.

While attending the University of Dundee he headed the SNP student wing, the Federation of Student Nationalists. He was a district councillor in Ross and Cromarty and worked as a senior secondary school teacher in Alness and Invergordon before taking early retirement in 1995.

In the Scottish Parliament, he is the Deputy Convener of the Economy, Enterprise and Tourism Committee, and a leading member of the Transport, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee - all areas of importance to the economy of the north of Scotland.

His partner is the former Highlands and Islands MSP, Eleanor Scott, of the Scottish Green Party.

Gibson is also a musician and an author, and has written several books about Highland history and emigration. These include Plaids and Bandanas, The Highland Clearances Trail and Highland Cowboys.

Christopher Jason van der Drift (born 8 March 1986 in Hamilton, New Zealand) is a New Zealand racecar driver of Dutch descent.

Chris started karting at the age of 7 and in 1994 he raced his first year in cadets. From there he went on to win 6 New Zealand Championships and 6 North Island Championships until 2002.

After ten years of kart racing in New Zealand and also competing in Australia for two years in 2001 JICA and 2002 Ford Kart Stars (finishing both championships in 6th), he had to take the step into racing cars. At the time he had no sponsors so it was difficult just to step into a car as his parents didn't have enough to fund that as well.

‡ Chris van der Drift qualified for the Super Final at Brands Hatch but was unable to compete due to suffering injuries from a large crash in race two which led to him being taken to hospital with a broken ankle, two broken ribs, a cracked shoulder blade, a dislocated shoulder and two broken fingers. His Super Final place was taken up by the seventh highest points-scorer of the weekend, Yelmer Buurman.
