Inspired by soniclovenoise and the series “Albums That Never Were” (albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.com)
Simon & Garfunkel – Think Too Much (1983)
This is a reconstruction of a Simon & Garfunkel album that was never released.
The album was originally intended to be called Think Too Much, but Mo Ostin, president ofWarner Bros. Records, persuaded Simon to change it to Hearts and Bones.[1] The album was written and recorded following the Simon and Garfunkel Concert in Central Park in 1981, and the world tour of 1982 - 1983. Some of the songs intended for Think Too Much were previewed on the tour, and Garfunkel worked on some of the songs with Simon in the studio with an intention that the finished product would be a Simon and Garfunkel album. Ultimately, Garfunkel left the project early on, and none of his contributions were included in the final mix.
--- Wikipedia
This reconstruction uses song segments from the Paul Simon album “Hearts and Bones” mixed with vocals and song segments taken from Art Garfunkel’s studio work during this period, including “Scissors Cut” and “Fate For Breakfast”. Each track includes song segments from both performers.
I highly recommend the albums “Hearts and Bones” by Paul Simon and “Scissors Cut” and “Fate For Breakfast” by Art Garfunkel. They are available via Google Play, Amazon, and ITunes.

The semi-autobiographical "Almost Famous" challenged Cameron Crowe and Danny Bramson to create a real rock band . . . Stillwater. The rest is history. Seventy-seven songs made it into the film! With the support of Dreamworks, Mo Ostin and David Geffen it was the ultimate playground! The first to convince Led Zeppelin to license their music - what a great story! Five Zeppelin songs!!!
Enjoy the entire six part interview with Danny. From the Universal Amphitheater to his prolific partnership with Cameron Crowe, the Rolling Stone writer-turned-uber-successful-film-director whose path was immortalized in the semi-autobiographical Almost Famous, legendary music industry impresario Danny Bramson joins Q Score's own Jonathan McHugh for a six part interview. They discuss everyone and everything from Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty to Say Anything, Singles, Jerry Maguire and, of course, Almost Famous.

I think this Mick Taylor solo ranks with any of his best with The Rolling Stones. Ron Wood is a very good rock and roller, especially if you listen to his work with The Faces, but Mick Taylor brought something to the Stones they've not had since.
I heard Lowell give some background to the song, at least that was his story for that evening. The Mao was really Mo Ostin, the then president of Warner Bros. Records, who apparently wanted Lowell to attend some recording studio opening in North Hollywood. Ostin, along with Joe Smith, Lenny Warnoker and later Doug Morris made that label the giant that it was, both in terms of sales but also it's well earned reputation of giving special artists like Little Feat a chance to record.
The music business is completely different now. Time Warner sold Warner Bros. Records and all other music labels in the aftermath of the worst merger deal in US business history, the AOL-Time Warner disaster.
In this sit in with Little Feat, I've taken what was a longer jam and tried to cut it to where most of the album cut of Apolitical Blues can be used which was on the LP version of Waiting for Columbus, but left off the CD. It's on The Last Record Album also.
Excluding the billboard by Lowell at the start, I matched the CD track to the picture through Mick Taylor's solo and then brought the closing stanza in at the end. It's not perfect by any means, but I hope you like it.
Two of the best slide players ever here in Lowell George and Mick Taylor and Lowell's vocal is just fantastic.

From the Universal Amphitheater to his prolific partnership with Cameron Crowe, the Rolling Stone writer-turned-uber-successful-film-director, whose path was immortalized in the semi-autobiographical Almost Famous, legendary music industry impresario Danny Bramson joins Q Score's own Jonathan McHugh for a six part interview. They discuss everyone and everything from Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty to Say Anything, Singles, Jerry Maguire and, of course, Almost Famous.
In this first installment, Bramson shares the beginning of the famous Universal Amphitheater which he pitched to Jules Stein when it was a training stage for animals. Following in the footsteps of "Dutch Uncle" Bill Graham, Bramson built the legendary Universal Amphitheater from a 600-seat outdoor stage to the 5200-seat enclosed Universal Amphitheater we now enjoy. He shares the journey through experiences with Lew Wasserman, Mo Ostin, Frank Sinatra, Jackson Browne, and many many more giving us a glimpse into the music business of the 1960s.
Each week on Q Score, producer and industry expert Jonathan McHugh takes us behind the scenes of the films and television shows we love, illuminating the process of matching composers, songs, and score to specific scenes by talking with the music supervisors and industry professionals responsible for bringing the magic together. Jonathan has welcomed music supervisors including Matt Sullivan (Pirates of the Caribbean, Rock of Ages), Gary Calamar (True Blood), Thomas Golubic (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead), Kier Lehman (22 Jump Street), Madonna Wade-Reed (Reign), Eric Huey (ESA & E3), Michael Levine (Star Wars, Cold Case), Season Kent (The Fault In Our Stars) and Kevin Edelman (Homeland, Baywatch) to bring insight into the marriage of music and content. Guild of Music Supervisors President John Houlihan (Training Day, Looper, Austin Powers) and former Guild President Maureen Crowe (Chicago, Perfect Storm, Wayne’s World) share their experience as well as the history, and executives like Randy Spendlove (Paramount Pictures Music Chief, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and authors/journalists like Jon Burlingame (Variety, USC) round out the picture . . . or should we say song.
Jonathan McHugh has spent over two decades working in film, TV and music. During his extensive career he has produced and marketed over twenty hit soundtracks including Austin Powers, The Wedding Singer, Rush Hour, Boogie Nights, Blade, Spawn, Empire Records, Friday Night Lights, Stomp the Yard, Step Up,The Wood and Don Juan Demarco. Jonathan has been the music supervisor for over 25 film and television projects including most recently Hillary Clinton’s intro film that debuted at the Democratic National Convention and the upcoming film “Son Of Mourning” starring Heather Graham, Danny Glover and Jamie Lynn Sigler. Some of his many other credits include Nobel Son, the Saw series, Rize, 2001Maniacs, Be Here To Love Me, Charm School, PS, Dumb and Dumber, On the Line, Roger Dodger and The Secret Lives of Dentists. Additionally, he acted as music supervisor for the television movies A Tail of Two Bunnies, The Lone Ranger and the first-season of the hit WB television show Girlfriends.
Holding positions including Vice President of Creative Development at Jive Records, Vice President of Music at New Line Cinema, and Director of A&R;/Soundracks at A&M; Records allowed him the rare opportunity to not only create hit soundtracks but to implement and execute the marketing of them at the same time.
Producer of a diverse slate of films from the Lionsgate horror musical; “Repo: a Genetic Opera” to Lifetime’s film “Flying By” starring Billy Ray Cyrus,” and co-producer on the MTV/Paramount film “Crossroads” starring Britney Spears, McHugh also co-created, co-wrote and produced the 2007 Lionsgate hip-hop/horror film anthology; “Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror.”
He currently serves on the NARAS Grammy TV committee and this year helped guide the annual CBS TV awards show to it’s biggest ratings in years.

16. The «Rockline Radio Medley» : Drive My Car / Here Comes the Sun / The Bells of Rhymney / Mr. Tambourine Man / Take Me As I Am / That's Alright / Let It Be Me / Something / Every Grain of Sand (acoustic guitar) is a nine minute track from Harrison's appearance on Rockline Radio on February 10, 1988 in Los Angeles, several months after the release of ''Cloud 9''. He is joined by Jeff Lynne and this predates the Travelling Wilburys by several months. He also takes phone calls from listeners and engages in funny exchanges. "I liked the album quite a bit" - one caller says. "Quite a bit?? - Well, get off the line, man. If you don't love it get off the line".

19. George appeared (via tape) from the lawn of his Henley-On-Thames, Friar Park estate on this Brazilian TV programme ''Gente Que Brilha'', broadcast on October 31, 1996, performing an off-the-cuff version of «Here Comes the Sun» with amended lyrics for his Formula 1 racing pal Emerson Fittipaldi, George was congratulating Emerson on his recovery from a recent plane crash in Araraquara, Brazil, in which he had fractured his lower back. Apparently the two liked to share a drink now and then as was reflected in the modified lyrics.
20. George performed «Your True Love» at Perkin's memorial service at the urging of Wynonna Judd, four days after good friend Carl Perkins died on January 19, 1998
