"The Cold" is the third episode of the sixth season of the American sitcom Modern Family, and the series' 123rd episode overall. It originally aired on October 8, 2014. The episode was written by Rick Wiener & Kenny Schwartz and directed by Jim Hensz.

Plot

Phil (Ty Burrell) notices, while watching the video tape of Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron's (Eric Stonestreet) wedding, that he was sick and he was not careful enough leading to spread the virus to the whole family. As everybody is healed, it is now Claire's (Julie Bowen) turn to be ill. Not wanting to be discovered as "patient zero", Phil asks Luke (Nolan Gould) to help him edit the video and Luke agrees to do it. They plan to add new sequences in order to minimize the incident, but the result is not what they hoped for. Luke decides that honesty is the best option and urges Phil to confess during the dinner when the whole family will watch the video.

Jay (Ed O' Neill) asks Claire to meet a client for lunch, which she agrees despite her being sick and suffering. Until she gets to meet the client, she regrets her decision when she begins to suffer from vertigo. She manages to meet the client but she passes out when he asks her for a lunch, which will take place in the revolving rooftop of the hotel.

Plot

The Dalton Academy Warblers are exposed for using steroids for their participation in Sectionals, and New Directions is given another chance to compete in Regionals. To raise money for the bus, Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz) successfully proposes they make a sexy "Men of McKinley" calendar with the male members of the New Directions.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is asked to star in a student film, but becomes conflicted when she learns the role requires her to be topless. After singing "Torn", Rachel decides to go through with it. Although her boyfriend Brody Weston (Dean Geyer) supports her, Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) does not agree with her decision and calls Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) and Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera) to convince Rachel not to do it, but Rachel remains decided.

American singer and songwriter Jason Derulo has released four studio albums, one re-issued album, one compilation album, two extended plays, 29 singles (including eight as a featured artist), and 15 music videos. Before Derulo established himself as a solo artist, he wrote songs for many artists, including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Pleasure P and Cassie. He also wrote "Bossy" for rapper Birdman, and made a guest appearance on the song, which highlighted his ability as a vocalist.

After signing with Beluga Heights Records, Derulo released his debut single "Whatcha Say" in May 2009. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The song served as the lead single from Derulo's self-titled debut studio album, which was released on March 2, 2010 and reached number eleven on the Billboard 200. "In My Head" and "Ridin' Solo" were released as the album's second and third singles respectively. While both attained peaks within the top ten in multiple countries, "In My Head" became Derulo's first number-one single in the likes of Australia and the United Kingdom. Sun (Thomas Bergersen album)

Sun is the second stand-alone production album created by Thomas J. Bergersen from Two Steps from Hell, released on September 30, 2014. The release contains 16 tracks, featuring vocal performances by Merethe Soltvedt, Molly Conole and other vocalists. The album cover and artwork are designed by Bergersen himself. The album was announced for pre-order on September 9 across iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby, with the tracks "Empire of Angels," "Final Frontier," and "Starchild" made available on iTunes prior to the full release. In addition, a signed limited deluxe edition CD version has been scheduled for somewhere in 2015, set to include additional music, notes on each track written by Thomas, and a large-size poster featuring his artwork.

Sun-60 (later Sun 60 without the hyphen) were a Los Angeles Alternative rock band from 1987-1996.

The band was notable for the vocals of Joan Jones, the guitar riffs of David Russo, clever song-writing, and an eclectic combination of styles, including folk, alt rock, pop, and blues.

Despite a cult following, considerable commercial potential, and moderate success both as a touring live act and on record, the band never quite caught on, and split in 1996.

History

Sun-60 began as an acoustic folk duo, composed of Joan Jones and David Russo playing under the name Far Cry. Gradually their sound became harder-edged, and they added various musicians to form a rock rhythm section.

They were signed by Epic Records in 1990 and released the eponymous Sun-60 in 1992. Sun-60 is a glossily-produced, high-energy folk/pop/rock album showcasing Jones' voice and hook-laden songwriting.

Only (1993) is primarily blues-based hard rock, although folk and pop influences are still audible. The album features guest performances from several notable musicians such as Dave Navarro.
