Jurassic Coaster - New Services from 2016

Firstly, thank you for your interest in the Jurassic Coaster routes from First Wessex. We aim to provide you with a service you enjoy and all the information you need to make the most of your time in this beautiful part of the world. The new Jurassic Coaster services for Summer 2016 start on 8 May. We have divided the two old routes into more relevant sections to improve punctuality and below we have clarified what you would use each service for: X52 – taking you from historic Exeter to Bridport – taking in Crealy Great Adventure Park, Sidmouth, Seaton and Lyme Regis X51 – direct from Axminster to Dorchester via Bridport X53 – starting in Axminster it takes you to the heart of Weymouth viaBridport and the Abbotsbury Swannery Service X51/X53 operate every 30 minutes during the day from Axminster to Lyme Regis, hourly from Bridport on to Dorchester and Dorset County Hospital and hourly along the Coast Road through Abbotsbury to Weymouth. X55 – a new service starting on 28 May running from Weymouth to the Tank Museum at Bovington also taking in Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove 501 – the ever popular open top service from Weymouth to Portland X54 – completing the original route from Weymouth to Poole visiting Wool and Wareham on the way You can still run the entire route from Poole to Exeter should you wish. Simply change routes at Weymouth and at Lyme Regis. For the children this year we have created a set of dinosaur friends whose fossils have actually been found along the Jurassic Coast and can be found at various museums along the Jurassic Coaster routes. These dinosaur friends are featured on the Jurassic Coaster leaflet and also on the buses. Maybe you would like to have your own dinosaur hunt and see them all? The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site and features some of the most beautiful seashore landscapes in the country – if not the world. Which is why we have produced this video to show off some of the breath-taking scenery.
