Fritz Todt (4 September 1891, Pforzheim – 8 February 1942) was a German engineer and senior Nazi figure, the founder of Organisation Todt. He died in a plane crash during World War II.

Todt was born in Pforzheim to a father who owned a small factory. He studied engineering in Karlsruhe and the School for Advanced Technical Studies at the Technical University Munich.

In World War I, he initially served with the infantry and then as front line reconnaissance observer within the Luftstreitkräfte (the German Air Forces - DLSK), winning the Iron Cross. After his military service, he finished his studies in 1920 and joined at first the "Grün & Bilfinger AG, Mannheim" company and, later, the civil engineering company Sager & Woerner (1921).

He joined the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP) (better known as the Nazi Party) on 5 January 1922. In 1931, he became an Oberführer (a rank equivalent to senior Colonel) in the Sturmabteilung (SA), which was then commanded by Ernst Röhm: that year, Todt also completed his doctorate (on "Fehlerquellen beim Bau von Landstraßendecken aus Teer und Asphalt" – "Sources of defects in the construction of tarmac and asphalt road surfaces").

Lake Bell (born March 24, 1979) is an American actress, writer and director. She has starred in the television series Miss Match (2003); The Practice (2004) and its spinoff Boston Legal (2004–2006) as Sally Heep; Surface (2005–2006); How to Make It in America (2010–2011) and Childrens Hospital (2008–present) and in the films Over Her Dead Body, What Happens in Vegas and Pride and Glory (all 2008); It's Complicated (2009); Burning Palms (2010) and Little Murder, No Strings Attached and A Good Old Fashioned Orgy (all 2011). She has also written and directed her own award-winning short film, Worst Enemy, which débuted at the Sundance Film Festival.

Bell was born in New York City, the daughter of Robin Bell, owner of the design firm Robin Bell Design, Inc. in New York, and Harvey Siegel. Her father is Jewish and her mother is Protestant and Bell has stated that she was raised in a "comically dysfunctional family".

Bell attended The Chapin School in New York and Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut. For part of her teenage years she lived in Vero Beach, Florida and attended St. Edward's School. She attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York before transferring to Rose Bruford College in London where she acted in several theatrical productions including The Seagull, The Children's Hour, Six Degrees of Separation, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire and Pentecost.

Ingrid Kavelaars (born March 20, 1971 in London, Ontario) is a Canadian film actress.

She graduated high school from Regina Mundi College in London, Ontario Canada.

Ingrid moved to New York City from London, Ontario at the age of 19 to pursue a career as an actress. She has mostly done work on television shows and most notably three episodes in Stargate SG-1 between 2003-2004. In 2006, she was a main character in a Canadian television series called Whistler. She is returned for the second season, but the television series was cancelled before the story could continue into its third season.

Since 2010 Ingrid has played the Character Lori Unger in the HBO Canada Television show "Living in Your Car"

Ingrid was Miss Teen London in 1987, and she was first runner up for Miss Teen Canada 1987.

She has three sisters and one brother. Her twin sister Monique Kavelaars competed in the same competition in 1989, and was Miss Teen London 1989, as well as Miss Teen Canada 1989. Monique is also a world class athlete in fencing, a Silver Medalist at the Commonwealth Games. Ingrid and Monique also have an older sister, Annette Kavelaars Burrows, who was also Miss London 1984, and competed in the 1985 Miss Canada Pageant. Her brother, JJ Kavelaars, is a professional astronomer at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics as well as a professor at the University of Victoria.

Cornelius Vanderbilt (May 27, 1794 – January 4, 1877), also known by the sobriquet Commodore, was an American industrialist and philanthropist who built his wealth in shipping and railroads. He was also the patriarch of the Vanderbilt family and one of the richest Americans in history. He provided the initial gift to found Vanderbilt University, which is named in his honor.

Cornelius Vanderbilt's great-great-grandfather, Jan Aertson or Aertszoon, was a Dutch farmer from the village of De Bilt in Utrecht, Netherlands, who emigrated to New York as an indentured servant in 1650. The Dutch van der ("of the"/"from") was eventually added to Aertson's village name to create "van der Bilt" ("from De Bilt"), which was eventually condensed to Vanderbilt.

Born in Staten Island, New York, Vanderbilt began working on his father's ferry in New York Harbor as a boy, quitting school at the age of 11. At the age of 16 Vanderbilt decided to start his own ferry service. According to one version of events, he borrowed $100 from his mother to purchase a periauger (a shallow draft, two masted sailing vessel). However, according to the version of the first published account of his life, published in the magazine Scientific American in 1853, the periauger belonged to his father and he received half the profit. He began his business by ferrying freight and passengers between Staten Island and Manhattan.

Oberst Helmut Lent (13 June 1918 – 7 October 1944) was a German night-fighter ace in World War II. Lent shot down 110 aircraft, 103 of them at night, far more than the minimum of five enemy aircraft required for the title of "ace". Born into a devoutly religious family, he showed an early passion for glider flying; against his father's wishes, he joined the Luftwaffe in 1936. After completing his training, he was assigned to the 1. Squadron, or Staffel, of Zerstörergeschwader 76 (ZG 76), a wing flying the Messerschmitt Bf 110 twin-engine heavy fighter. Lent claimed his first aerial victories at the outset of World War II in the invasion of Poland and over the North Sea. During the invasion of Norway he flew ground support missions before he was transferred to the newly established Nachtjagdgeschwader 1 (NJG 1), a night-fighter wing.

Lent claimed his first nocturnal victory on 12 May 1941 and on 30 August 1941 was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes) for 22 victories. His steady accumulation of aerial victories resulted in regular promotions and awards. On the night of 15 June 1944, Major Lent was the first night fighter pilot to claim 100 nocturnal aerial victories, a feat which earned him the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub, Schwertern und Brillanten) on 31 July 1944.
