2011 was an amazing year of new projects and collaborations. Already started in January with an aerial camera work for the NHK Japan television in Château-d'Oex. I filmed during the 3 days of competition all the aerial footage from the hot air balloon of John Armstrong. Followed with some amazing video projects with pilots on the airshows of Dittingen and Sion like the Bronco, the Rafale, the F/A-18 Hornet, the Captens, the Edge 540 and the Cobra of Flying Bulls . I made the trailer for the Swiss National Championship 2011 in Bex. In July I met my friends of Handiflight again and filmed the event all the week under the rain. And my biggest aviation project this year : I filmed the World Aerobatic Championships in Foligno (Italy) for the FAI in September. Beside my principal work on aviation we also filmed some beautiful firedance videos with Franziska like "Sparkling Fire", "Bright Eyes" and other FairyWings dance videos like "FairyWings in the Woods". I also used some interesting new gear this year. All the videos with Franziska were shot with my Sony NEX-VG10 or my Sony NEX-5n. After about 6 years with my Sony Z1 I work now with a Sony PMW-320 XDCAM. Working alone on airshows, running with all the video material, installing onboard video cameras, making interviews, etc... is really hard. This year I recieved a lot of help from pilots and friends and I would like especially to thank Franziska and Tahan for their great help on the tarmac around airplanes ! I would also like to thank all pilots who gave me the possibility to install my onboard cameras on their aircrafts or allowed me to use their onboard footage !
