Plot
Captain Phillips is a multi-layered examination of the 2009 hijacking of the U.S. container ship Maersk Alabama by a crew of Somali pirates. It is - through director Paul Greengrass's distinctive lens - simultaneously a pulse-pounding thriller, and a complex portrait of the myriad effects of globalization. The film focuses on the relationship between the Alabama's commanding officer, Captain Richard Phillips (two time Academy Award®-winner Tom Hanks), and the Somali pirate captain, Muse (Barkhad Abdi), who takes him hostage. Phillips and Muse are set on an unstoppable collision course when Muse and his crew target Phillips' unarmed ship; in the ensuing standoff, 145 miles off the Somali coast, both men will find themselves at the mercy of forces beyond their control.

Out here survival is everything
UKMTO Officer: Maersk Alabama, you should alert your crew, get your fire hoses ready. Chances are they're just fishermen.::Captain Richard Phillips: They're not here to fish.
Captain Richard Phillips: Listen up, we have been boarded by armed pirates. If they find you, remember, you know this ship, they don't. Stick together and we'll be alright. Good luck.
Captain Richard Phillips: There's got to be something other than being a fisherman or kidnapping people.::Muse: Maybe in America, Irish, maybe in America.
Muse: Look at me.::Captain Richard Phillips: Sure.::Muse: Look at me.::Captain Richard Phillips: Sure.::Muse: I'm the captain now.
Captain Richard Phillips: You're not just a fisherman! You're not just a fisherman!
Captain Richard Phillips: You said you were a business man! Is this how you do business?
Muse: I came too far, I can't give up.
Muse: Last year I took a Greek ship. 6 million dollars.::Captain Richard Phillips: 6 million dollars? So what are you doing here?::Muse: Shut up, Irish. Too much talking.::Captain Richard Phillips: The problem is not me talking. The problem is you not listening.
Persona is everything.

Meli'sa Morgan is an African American R&B singer born in Queens, New York who had a string of urban contemporary and house music hits in the 1980s and 1990s. She got her start in the music industry whilst singing with a church gospel choir called the Starlets of Corona. She cites Chaka Khan as a major influence.
Her initial chart entry was as the lead singer of the dance group, Shades of Love. They had a single entry on Billboard magazine's Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1982, the #26 "Body to Body (Keep in Touch)". This was re-popularized in 1994 by new remixes, "Body to Body (Keep in Touch)", and reached number 1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
That same year, music entrepreneur Jacques Fred Petrus asked her to join his newly created studio group, High Fashion, that featured Morgan and two other New York vocalists, Eric McClinton and Alyson Williams. High Fashion's sole hit, "Feelin' Lucky Lately", reached #32 on the U.S. Black Singles chart. In 1983 Morgan left, and was replaced in the group by the jazz vocalist, Marcella Allen.
Frederick Anthony "Freddie" Jackson (born on October 2, 1956) is an American soul singer. He was an important figure in R&B during the 1980s and early 1990s.[citation needed] Among his well-known hits are "Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)", "Jam Tonight", "Do Me Again," and "You Are My Lady".
Jackson was trained as a gospel singer from an early age, singing at the White Rock Baptist Church. There he met Paul Laurence, who would later become his record producer and songwriting partner. After completing school, Jackson joined Laurence's group LJE (Laurence-Jones Ensemble) and played the New York nightclub scene. During the early 1980s, Jackson moved to the West Coast and sang lead with the R&B band 'Mystic Merlin', but soon returned to New York to work with Laurence at the Hush Productions company. He sang on demo recordings of Laurence's compositions, and also served as a backing singer for Melba Moore after she saw his nightclub act.
In 1985, Jackson landed a recording contract with Capitol Records, and issued his debut album, Rock Me Tonight. The Laurence-penned title track stormed the R&B charts, spending six weeks at number one, and made Jackson an instant hit on urban contemporary radio. "You Are My Lady" gave him a second straight R&B chart-topper, and also proved to be his highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #13. With "He'll Never Love You (Like I Do)" and "Love Is Just a Touch Away" also hitting the R&B Top Ten, Rock Me Tonight topped the R&B album chart and went platinum. Jackson issued the follow-up Just Like the First Time 1986, on the heels of a number one R&B duet with Melba Moore, "A Little Bit More" (from her album A Lot of Love). Another platinum seller, Just Like the First Time continued Jackson's dominance of the R&B singles charts; "Tasty Love," "Have You Ever Loved Somebody," and "Jam Tonight" all hit #1, while "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love" went to #2.
Jeffrey Linton Osborne (born March 9, 1948) is an American funk and R&B musician, songwriter, lyricist, and former lead singer of the band, L.T.D.
Osborne was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He is the youngest of 12 children and is part of a musical family. He has five brothers and six sisters, some of whom went on to have music careers (his brother Billy was an L.T.D. bandmate). Osborne's father, Clarence "Legs" Osborne, was a popular trumpeter who played with Lionel Hampton, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington and died when Osborne was thirteen. Osborne started his music career in 1970 with a band called Love Men Ltd., who would later become known as L.T.D. The band recorded hit singles such as "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again", "Concentrate on You," "Love Ballad" and "Holding On (When Love Is Gone)". At first, Osborne was a drummer, sharing lead vocal duties with his brother Billy, but by 1978 he became the group's primary lead vocalist. He and Billy both left L.T.D. in late 1980 to start solo careers. His solo success includes five gold and platinum albums.
With all my heart I love you, baby
Stay with me and you will see
My arms will hold you, baby
Never leave, 'cause I believe.
I'm in love, sweet love
Hear me calling out your name, I feel no shame
I'm in love, sweet love
Don't you ever go away, it'll always be this way.
Oh your heart has called me closer to you
I will be all that you need
Just trust in what we`re feeling
Never leave `cause baby, I believe.
In this love, sweet love
Hear me calling out your name, I feel no shame
I'm in love, sweet love
Don't you ever go away, it'll always be this way.
There's no stronger love in this world
Oh baby no, you`re my man, I`m your girl
I'll never go, wait and see, can't be wrong
Don't you know this where you belong.

Let me be there to help them come true
Tell me your fears, when you feel afraid
Come to my arms let me rock them away
Thats all Ill ever ask,

Of you
Come to my shoulder when you need to weep
Wake me up, when you cannot sleep
Talk to me, when you want to be heard
Be silent with me, when you cant say a word
Thats all Ill ever ask, Thats all Ill ever ask,
Thats all Ill every ask
Of you
I cant swear youll never have to cry another tear
But when you want someone to hold you
Im always right here
So just take my had when you stumble and fall
Call my name, it yours to call
Feel my faith in you when you cant find your own
And always remember that youre never alone
Thats all Ill ever ask, Thats all Ill ever ask,
Baby, when I'm with you
Just a touch of Heaven, Heaven
Baby, when I'm with you
Just a touch of Heaven, Heaven
Baby, when I'm with you Heaven, Heaven

Just a touch of Heaven
Just a touch of Heaven
Just a touch of Heaven
