Mahmoud Abbas (Arabic: مَحْمُود عَبَّاس, Maḥmūd ʿAbbās; born 26 March 1935), also known by the kunya Abu Mazen (Arabic: أَبُو مَازِن, 'Abū Māzin), is a Palestinian statesman. He has been the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) since 11 November 2004 and became President of the Palestinian National Authority on 15 January 2005 on the Fatah (فتح Fataḥ) ticket. Mahmoud Abbas was elected to serve until 9 January 2009, due to Palestinian Internal conflict he unilaterally extended his term for another year and continues in office even after that second deadline expired. As a result of this, Fatah's main rival, Hamas announced that it would not recognise the extension or view Abbas as rightful president.[5][6][7] Abbas was chosen as the President of the State of Palestine by the Palestine Liberation Organization's Central Council on 23 November 2008,[8] a job he had held unofficially since 8 May 2005.[9] Abbas served as the first Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority from March to October 2003 when he resigned citing lack of support from Israel and the United States as well as "internal incitement" against his government.[10] Before being named prime minister, Abbas led the PLO's Negotiations Affairs Department. Despite Abbas' call for a peaceful solution, attacks by militant groups continued after his election, in a direct challenge to his authority. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine launched a raid in Gaza on 12 January that killed one and wounded three military personnel in Gaza. On 13 January Palestinians from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Hamas, and the Popular Resistance Committees launched a suicide attack on the Karni crossing, killing six Israelis. As a result, Israel shut down the damaged terminal and broke off relations with Abbas and the Palestinian Authority, stating that Abbas must now show a gesture of peace by attempting to stop such attacks. Abbas was formally sworn in as the Chairman of the Palestinian National Authority in a ceremony held on 15 January in the West Bank town of Ramallah. On 9 August 2005 he announced that legislative elections, originally scheduled for 17 July, would take place in January 2006. On 15 January 2006 he declared that despite unrest in Gaza, he would not change the set date of the elections (25 January), unless Israel decided to prevent Palestinians in East Jerusalem from voting.[23] Hamas won a majority of votes in this vote. In May 2009, he welcomed Pope Benedict XVI to the West Bank, who supported Abbas' goal of a Palestinian State.[54] Also in May 2009, Abbas made a visit to Canada, where he met with foreign affairs minister Lawrence Cannon and Prime Minister Stephen Harper. In February 2010, Abbas visited Japan for the third time as Palestinian President. In this visit he met Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. He also visited Hiroshima, the first such visit by a Palestinian leader, and spoke about the suffering of Hiroshima, which he compared to the suffering of the Palestinians.[55] In July 2012, Abbas accused former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice of fabricating a conversation between them and denied that such a conversation took place. The specific quote he denied was, "I can't tell four million Palestinians that only five thousand of them can go home,"[56][57] regarding the issue of Palestinian refugees. Abbas further said, "I'm not calling her a liar... I am saying that we never had that conversation."[58] In response, Rice denied that she fabricated it, as her chief of staff Georgia Godfrey wrote, "Dr. Rice stands by her account of the conversation and what she wrote in her book." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmoud_Abbas- published: 19 Oct 2013

VETO: Full Documentary
// 'An eye-on-the ground view of Palestine's bid for statehood'
// Winner of a Guardian Student Media Award 2012
// http://www.vetodoco.com/
In September 2011, Mahmoud Abbas (President of the Palestinian National Authority) submitted an application to the Security Council for Palestine to be recognized as an independent sovereign state at the United Nations.
The United States has promised to veto this bid when it reaches the Security Council.
VETO is an independently shot documentary that provides a unique insight into how Palestine’s latest bid for statehood is viewed by ordinary Palestinians. VETO is a student film and as such pays particular attention to how the situation in Palestine affects young people living under occupation.
Shot during a period of unprecedented upheaval in the region, this film aims to understand why there is so much hope in a land that has known little else other than conflict and division for most of its modern history.
We welcome all enquiries and questions relating to the film.

Why the 1967 Borders Matter
http://www.maozisrael.org
Now that President Obama and the Palestinians are pushing Israel to go back to the borders before we were attacked in 1967, we thought it was important to show why this is such a controversial issue.
In this video, you'll see just what the 1967 borders would mean to Israel's security, and why proposing such a border change is completely unrealistic.

330 Till the end
330 Till The End
Did you know that ¼ of the bible is prophecy? Did you know that there are 5000 prophecies in the bible? Did you know that 4000 have been fulfilled and more are happening faster now then ever before?
Mat 24:8 all this is but the beginning of the 'birth-pains.'
There is a deception going on in the USA and in the world. There was a man and his so-called christian organization saying that the church would be raptured this past Shabbat. There is going to to be something that comes out of today and it is not the rapture and it is bad news. With so many people with minimal knowledge of the bible hearing about this false prophet harold camping and his unfounded prophecy. And so many of those people who were hearing about the world supposedly ending today. And so many so-called christians thinking they were leaving this life today. The next phase of Adonai’s plan and the deception of the devil for all those billions of people will be that much easier because of lack of knowledge in the body and in the world. It will also be increasingly difficult for the true followers of God’s word to show those people on the spiritual fence that something is going to happen soon. Bacuase of this great deception and not holdon Till the End” the next part of prophecy is that much easier. This week the president of the USA just became an adversary to Israel. By telling Israel she needs to give up what is rightfully hers both in the secular and in the spiritual. With harold campings misinformation now more and more people will not believe in the bible. Now more and more people will say to Israel that land is not yours. So now the next phase of true prophecy will come and how we truly have to hold out till the end. If you don’t believe me here are a few things that happened recently;
TWELVE MAJOR EVENTS
(Relating to Israel's Covenant Land)
1. October 30, 1991: The Perfect Storm-As President George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference to consider "land for peace" in Israel's Middle East role, the "perfect storm" develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever recorded in that region. The storm travels 1000 miles from "east to west" instead of the normal "west
to east" pattern and crashes into the New England Coast. Thirty-five foot waves crash into the Kennebunkport home of President Bush.
2. August 23, 1992: Hurricane Andrew-When the Madrid Conference moves to Washington DC and the peace talks resume, Hurricane Andrew, the worst natural disaster ever to hit America, comes ashore and produces an estimated $30 billion in damage and leaving 180,000 homeless in Florida.
3. January 16, 1994: Northridge Earthquake-President Bill Clinton meets with Syria's President Hafez el-Assad in Geneva. They talk about a peace agreement with Israel that includes giving up the Golan Heights. Within 24 hours, a powerful 6.9 earthquake rocks Southern California, This quake, centered in Northridge, becomes the second most destructive natural disaster to hit the United States, behind Hurricane Andrew,
4. January 21, 1998: Lewinsky Scandal-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President Clinton at the White House and is coldly received. Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright refuse to have lunch with him. Shortly afterwards on that day, the Monica Lewinsky scandal breaks into the mass media and begins to occupy a major portion of Clinton's time.
5. September 28, 1998: Hurricane George-As Secretary of State Albright works on the final details of an agreement in which Israel would give up 13 percent of Yesha (Judah and Samaria), Hurricane George slams into the United States Gulf Coast with 110 mph winds and gusts up to 175 mph. The hurricane hits the coast and stalled. On September 28, Clinton meets with Yasser Arafat and Netanyahu at the White House to finalize this
land deal. Later, Arafat addresses the United Nations about declaring an independent Palestinian state by May 1999, as Hurricane George pounds the Gulf Coast, causing $1 billion in damage. At the exact time that Arafat departs the country, the storm begins to dissipate.
6. October 15-22, 1998: Texas Flooded-On October 15, 1998, Arafat and Netanyahu meet at the Wye River Plantation in Maryland. The talks are scheduled to last five days with the focus on Israel giving up 13 percent of Yesha. The talks are extended and conclude on October 23. On October 17, awesome rains and tornadoes hit southern Texas. The San
Antonio area is deluged with rain. The rain and flooding in Texas continue until October 22 and then subside. The floods ravage 25 percent of Texas and leave over one billion dollars in damage. On October 21, Clinton declares this section of Texas a major disaster area.
7. November 30, 1998: Market Capitalization Evaporates-Arafat comes to Washington again to meet with President Clinton to raise money for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital. A total of 42 other nations were represented in W
