From Contra Info
On Tuesday evening, November 26th, 2013 we raided the Palladium internet café, located on Solomou street in Exarchia. We vandalized its interior, smashing the screens and the storefront glass-windows, and we torched the server, taking appropriate measures to prevent accidents. Then we left all together in a coordinated manner and absolute safety, in order to avoid any unfortunate encounter with dogs of the DELTA motorcycle police team.

Email forward:
My good friend Oso Blanco (Byron Chubbuck) called me tonight very upset and asking for help. He said a staff person was checking their cell for “extra clothing” and grabbed a sheet of paper laying (out in the open!) of a simple drawing Oso did. He has been trying to establish where various Cherokee memorials/battlefields/landmarks/burial mounds are in relation to his current location – Lee USP. The drawing was only of a prison and a fenced in burial mound he thought he saw upon his arrival. That’s it!

My flight is delayed for two hours. The people around me text on their phones, update their Facebook status, use the Google search browser for their homework, and listen to music through tiny headphones. While I wait with them, all of us sitting in identical rows, I read over a hundred pages of Assata Shakur’s autobiography.
After the Boston Marathon bombing, the FBI had once again added her to their Most Wanted list, hoping to capitalize on the public hysteria and to remind the public that Assata is a “dangerous terrorist.” I brought her book into the airport in defiance of their media campaign, hoping to get into an argument with some official or other and learn exactly what they were up to behind the curtain.

Yolanda is one of the most destructive typhoons to have visited the Philippine archipelago. It pummeled the Visayas region, particularly Leyte and some parts of Cebu and Panay areas. Super typhoon Yolanda left the archipelago with thousands of dead people, commercial and residential structures destroyed, power knocked-out; agriculture and livelihoods are washed-out that caused billions of losses. Destruction is so extensive that it caused unimaginable effect to the survivors.
Government’s Response caused more devastation to the people

Announcing the 2nd annual Kitchener-Waterloo Anarchist Bookfair! Taking place on March 1 2014 on Six Nations of the Grand River territory, we will once again welcome anarchists and non-anarchists alike for a day of workshops, presentations, info tables, book sellers and social events. With introductory discussions about anarchism in addition to deeper conversations around the ongoing relevance of anarchism and its implications for on-the-ground organizing and everyday struggles, the KW Anarchist Bookfair will be a space for radical ideas to thrive for curious folks, seasoned organizers and everyone in between.

Anarchists are of course no strangers to being infiltrated by the state. Their ranks have been penetrated by informers and agent provocateurs for more than a century.
They have been one of the most common targets of the infiltration operation by undercover police officers that has been running since 1968.
We have written about four of the undercover police officers in our book, Undercover. The most recent known undercover officer worked under the fake name of Mark Jacobs, and pretended to be a member of a small group of anarchists in Cardiff from 2005 to 2009.

Last night (December 2nd), we painted graffiti in solidarity with the Mi'kmaq warriors' road blockade in New Brunswick against the fracking company SWN. It reads "Solidarity with the Mi'kmaq blockades," "Fuck RCMP, Fuck OPD," "Fight back," and "Solidarity with the Mi'kmaq Warriors."
With this humble gesture we send them the strength of knowing that they are not alone and that their brave actions are inspiring us to show our feelings of revolt in more concrete terms. This is just the beginning for us, we intend to escalate our level of conflictuality.

A federal appeals court has upheld a contempt judgment against a self-described anarchist who refused to testify before a grand jury thought to be investigating a 2008 bomb explosion in New York's Times Square.
Gerald Koch, 24, of Brooklyn was sent to jail in May after being found in civil contempt for refusing to testify, citing his rights under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Since the spring of 2013, the Mi’kmaq, along with Native and non-Native allies, have been resisting exploratory testing by SWN Resources Canada in New Brunswick. SWN, a Houston, Texas-based company, is searching for deposits of natural gas in shale rock formations. If they are successful and find significant deposits, they will then attempt to extract this gas using the process of fracking.
Fracking is a highly destructive method of extracting natural gas (as well as oil) from shale rock formations. It involves drilling down into the shale rock and injecting vast amounts of water mixed with hundreds of toxic chemicals. This fractures the shale rock and releases the gas, which is then brought to the surface for processing.

Many of the people who know me on a political level know I’ve wrestled with what I call an “ideological dysphoria” for (at least) the past year. To put it simply, I questioned fundamental Anarchist theory of thinkers like Petr Kropotkin, Nestor Mahkno and Murray Bookchin, against that of Karl Marx. This has become less and less about not being an Anarchist, and more about the fact that I am undeniably a Marxist. I cannot use the label Anarchist in good faith anymore, I don’t think like an Anarchist.
