Back at the mine site we are working towards our season goal of 1/2 oz. Some folks may think that goal is outrageous for the open prairies of Alberta Canada, and we would have to agree with them. But hey.. Gold Mining is all about perseverance, the right equipment, the right team and of course - lady luck being on your side. We have been mining for months now, and the season is quickly slipping away. The last weigh-in put us just behind our season target, but still we are over 1/2 way there. The secret is to put up, or shut up. Not a lot of joking around today.. its all about business and moving dirt. We were able to reconstruct, and improve the main conveyor belt that has been with the RCSparks mine since the inception of the operation. In this film we are able to demonstrate how we built the conveyor belt, and how easy it is to use for mining. Of course, having a vintage Converted-to-RC Tonka Truck is every kids dream.. and you get to see it here. I remember always wanting to see a construction site such as this, when I was a wee lad. Well, I had to wait many years.. but here it is. Are we going to find Gold?! Of Course! The true secret of this show - is nothing you see is "real". Everything is generally staged (well as much as we can plan when playing!), and though we are mining for real gold (yes it's real pay dirt), the true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a couple of goofballs entertain you with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on YouTube! Now all I have to do is to continue learning how to sluice for Gold. We are all rookies, we have never mined before.. yet, I have always had a passion for Radio Control, and for finding Gold! Our GOLD take was pretty good today. Too bad we suffered from a water issue in the second mine.. but our clean up kept our spirits high.
