Syria War - Al-Nusra Front Insane Heavy Intense Urban Firefight Combat Action In Deir ez-Zor. Members of the Al-Nusra Front in heavy urban combat against government forces. There is no exact information about the background of the assault available but it had to be an planned, large scale attack on government held positions and regime owned houses in the streets of Deir ez-Zor. The buldings where under constant heavy fire with rockets, heavy machine guns and grenades fired from armored pick up trucks, bmps and fixed positions in surrounding houses. The Al-Nusra Front or Jabhat al-Nusra is a branch of Al Qaeda operating in Syria. The group announced its creation on 23 January 2012 during the Syrian civil war. It is described as "the most aggressive and successful arm of the rebel force. The group was designated by the United Nations, the United States in December 2012,Australia in June 2013 and the United Kingdom in July 2013 as a terrorist organisation. The Al-Nusra Front has a strenght of about 7,000-15,000 fighters with mostly foregin background from other countries of the Middle East, North Africa Europe, Chechnya and America. Radcial groups like the Al-Nusra front or the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant are the main cause for the bad public opinion on the Free Syrian Army and the syrian opposition in general. With the government unwilling to engage in direct conflict with the rebels, for fear that those in the lower ranks will defect, snipers have become key to their strategy and leave a trail of dead bodies, young and old, in their wake. However, it's not just the government who are guilty of excesses. When the rebels capture a civilian trying to sell information to the army, they torture him for two hours, despite Abu Muhammad's assertion he will get a fair trial after the conflict. But Abu Muhammad has greater worries. His group are low on ammunition and believe they can only win through "casualties and a willingness to die". Their current "marriage of convenience" with Islamic fundamentalists also worries him. What will they do if they hijack the revolution? "The real battle for Syria begins after victory. We will fight anyone who tries to turn our country into an extreme Islamic state."

FSA Rebels Heavy Firefights In Different Locations In Syria

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Syria has rejected a proposal by Russia to place Syria's chemical weapons under international control. FSA military commander General Selim Idriss made the announcement in a video message posted on YouTube on Thursday. "The Free Syrian Army announces its categorical rejection of the Russian initiative that foresees placing chemical weapons under international control," Idriss stated. He called on countries supporting the militancy against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to increase the supply of arms to the militants. The so-called Syrian National Coalition (SNC) opposition group also rejected the Russian proposal - which was immediately embraced by many countries - calling it a "political maneuver aimed at buying time." The Washington Post recently reported that the United States has begun delivering weapons to foreign-backed militants in Syria. The report says that the CIA and the US Department of States began shipping weapons through Turkey and Jordan. On September 9, Idriss called for a US-led strike against Syria during an interview with Qatar's state-run broadcaster Al Jazeera, accusing Damascus of lying about accepting the Russian proposal. The Syrian government has welcomed Russia's initiative. The rhetoric of war against Syria first gained momentum on August 21, when the militants operating inside the country and the foreign-backed Syrian opposition claimed that over a thousand people had been killed in a government chemical attack on militant strongholds on the outskirts of Damascus. Categorically rejecting the accusation, the Syrian government blames the militants and says they had carried out the attack to draw in military intervention.

The battle took place between the two districts Aadhamiyye and Salaheddine. One of the main most famous connections of the two districts is the Sallah el deen Street named by the Salaheddine district. The 1.5 km2 (0.6 sq mi) big district gained international attention during the Battle of Aleppo in July 2012 as it became a hotly contested battleground between the Syrian Government and the Free Syrian Army. As this Video shows nothing changed about this in 2013. Because of the fact the action was filmed by 3 seperate activist news medias who didnt gave detailed background about the happenings, there is no information about wich FSA Brigade was involved here but according to the combatants behaviour during combat especially the firefight it seems they are local civilians with no real military background even if they are giving some sort of covering fire to let their commrades advance into the enemy held area and also supporting some civilians and wounded fighters retreating from the hotzone with it you can defently see a lack of experience in their fighting skills. Also they are not taking accurate aimed shoots another fact for their lack of military training but due the fact of the high amounts of sabotaged ammo in the black market they also could tend to shoot their rifles as far away from their face as they can for their own safety as well. Aleppo is also the main stronghold of the uprising and so one of the most contested battlefields in Syria.
