My Sawflys from Revision Military came in the "Sawfly Deluxe Shooters Kit," and their size Small fits me perfectly. I love that I can shoot Pepper, my 12 gauge shotgun, without worrying about the Sawflys flopping around on my face. My Oakley Fives (the smallest Women's Oakleys available) are a little too big for me, so I have to wear a hat to hold them in place. The Sawflys have several different lens options that can quicky be swapped out on the Sawfly frame, and they also have an Rx Carrier for prescription lenses that easily snaps onto the Sawfly nosepiece. (The Rx Carrier is sold seperately from Revision and is approx. $20). All Revision products are made in Vermont, and the Sawflys are a really great option for protective eyewear. I do wish that they were shaped more like my Oakleys because I like the way they look more ~ but these fit better so I'm happy to have them. Sawfly
Sawfly is the common name for insects belonging to suborder Symphyta of the order Hymenoptera. Sawflies are distinguishable from most other hymenopterans by the broad connection between the abdomen and the thorax, and by their caterpillar-like larvae. The common name comes from the saw-like appearance of the ovipositor, which the females use to cut into the plants where they lay their eggs. Large populations of certain sawfly species can cause substantial economic damage to forests and cultivated plants.
Taxonomy
Sawflies are a group of largely phytophagous insects. The overall group is paraphyletic, but the name is still in common use, and treated as a suborder, though it likely will be phased out in future classifications. These superfamilies are regarded as the most primitive taxa within the Hymenoptera (some going back 200 million years), and one of the taxa within the Symphyta gave rise to the suborder Apocrita (wasps, bees, and ants - this group is considered monophyletic). In the opinion of many experts, the most likely sister taxon to the Apocrita is the family Orussidae, the only symphytan group which is parasitic.

Looks like the work of some type of caterpillar or sawfly ... Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) will kill the larvae (caterpillars) of butterflies and moths but will not control sawfly larvae. Trichogramma wasps will always be helpful for the caterpillars but not so much for the sawflies that do not turn into moths or butterflies ... Sawfly eyes are easily visible and the head is obvious....
