Plot
This film tells the story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, an African-American man who rose above his troubled youth to become a top contender for the middle-weight boxing title. However, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of a triple murder, and is convicted to three natural-life terms. Despite becoming a cause celebre and his dogged efforts to prove his innocence through his autobiography, the years of fruitless efforts have left him discouraged. This changes when an African-American boy and his Canadian mentors read his book and are convinced of his innocence enough to work for his exoneration. However, what Hurricane and his friends learn is that this fight puts them against a racist establishment that profited from this travesty and have no intention of seeing it reversed.

Mobutu Sese Seko Nkuku Ngbendu wa Za Banga (born Joseph-Desiré Mobutu; 14 October 1930 – 7 September 1997), commonly known as Mobutu or Mobutu Sese Seko ( /məˈbuːtuː ˈsɛseɪ ˈsɛkoʊ/), was the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (also known as Zaire for much of his rule) from 1965 to 1997. While in office, he formed an authoritarian regime, amassed vast personal wealth, and attempted to purge the country of all colonial cultural influence, while also maintaining an anti-communist stance.
Mobutu, a member of the Ngbandi ethnic group, was born in Lisala, Belgian Congo. Mobutu's mother Marie Madeleine Yemo, was a hotel maid who fled to Lisala to escape the harem of a local village chief. There she met and married Albéric Gbemani, a cook for a Belgian judge. Shortly she gave birth to Mobutu. The name "Mobutu" was selected by an uncle. Gbemani died when Mobutu was eight.
The wife of the Belgian judge took a liking to Mobutu and taught him to speak, read and write fluently. Yemo relied on the help of relatives to support her four children, and the family moved often. Mobutu's earliest studies were in Léopoldville, but his mother eventually sent him to an uncle in Coquilhatville, where he attended the Christian Brothers School, a Catholic mission boarding school. A physically imposing figure, he dominated school sports. He also excelled in academics and ran the class newspaper. He was also known for his pranks and impish sense of humor. A classmate recalled that when the Belgian priests, whose first language was Dutch, misspoke in French, Mobutu would leap to his feet in class and point out the mistake. In 1949 Mobutu stowed away aboard a boat to Léopoldville and met a girl. The priests found him several weeks later, and at the end of the school year he was sent to the Force Publique (FP), the Belgian Congolese army. Enlistment, which came with a seven-year commitment, was a punishment for rebellious students.
Joseph Kabila Kabange (known commonly as Joseph Kabila, born June 4, 1971) is a Congolese politician who has been President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since January 2001. He took office ten days after the assassination of his father, President Laurent-Désiré Kabila. He was elected as President in 2006. In 2011, he was re-elected for a second term.
Joseph Kabila Kabange was born on June 4, 1971 at Hewabora, a small village in the Fizi territory of the South Kivu province, in Eastern Congo. He is the son of long time rebel, former AFDL leader and president of the Congo Laurent-Désiré Kabila and Sifa Mahanya.
Following high school, Joseph Kabila followed a military curriculum in Tanzania, then at Makerere University in Uganda. In October 1996, Laurent-Désiré Kabila launched the campaign in Zaire to oust the Mobutu regime. Joseph became the commander of the infamous army of "kadogos" (child soldiers) and played a key role in major battles on the road to Kinshasa. The liberation army received logistical and military support from regional armies from Rwanda, Uganda, Angola and Zimbabwe. Following the AFDL's victory, and Laurent-Désiré Kabila's rise to the presidency, Joseph Kabila went on to get further training at the PLA National Defense University, in Beijing, China.

I search my veins,
with my finger tips
I'm loking for a pulse,
and a sign that I live
But with unclean hands,
and unclean lips
I got no leg to stand on
But the knees that bring me to you
Won't you take me for a ride again
Set your fire to my soul again
Won't you take me for a ride again
Set your fire to my soul again
Won't you take me for a ride again
Set your fire to my soul again
You search my heart
with your blood as you wash me
You step into my darkness now
And point me where the light is
There's no better place to start
Before you take me on a ride again
And it's on my knees that brings me to you
That clings me to you
And it's on my knees that brings me to you
That clings me to you
Won't you take me for a ride again
Set your fire to my soul again
Won't you take me for a ride again
Yeah
Set your fire to my soul again
Whoh-oh
Won't you take me for a ride again
It's on my knees that brings me to you
That clings me to you
It's on my knees that brings me to you
That clings me to you
Won't you take me for a ride again
Yeah
Set your fire to my soul again
Whoh-oh
I held my breath in in-decision
When I used all my ammunition
And now my lesson's been learnt
This playing with fire,
has got my heart burnt
But over this hill..
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
on the edge of this cold night
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
Yeah my heart warms to your light
I was told to give up now
To let my hopes all fall down
(no no, oh no)
And I was told that I'd still be here
The place I fell the day I die
But over this hill...
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
on the edge of this cold night
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
Yeah my heart warms to your light
Do you, do
Do you save my soul?
Do you, do
Do you make us whole?
Oh oh oh oh
You do, you do
You do save my soul
oh oh oh oh
You do, you do
You do make us whole
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
on the edge of this cold night
You are my sunset
and my sunrise
on the edge of this cold night
Yeah you
You are my sunset,
and my sunrise
(You are my sunset,...)
I step up to the mic with just two things to say
Firstly you rule the night, and second you rule the day
And in-between these two extremes in visions and in
dreams
You bring to earth a future and a hope in the unseen
Like fire, like wild-fire. You spread your wings and
fly. You spread your wings and fly.
Like a sunrise after a cold night
And a sunset that brings hope to those with no light
Just who can stop the rising sun?
Who can deny you? with your beauty spreading in the sky
You are my sunset
Yeah you
You are my sunrise
On the edge of this cold night
On the edge of this cold night
As I look back over time
I regret the fact I left you behind,
and left myself walking blind
in a field of grenades and mines.
O too many times I lead myself astray
a mile away from you
but you bridge this gap
with the love that I lack
so once again I must conclude that...
I need you
(To get my soul back into gear)
I need you
(To get my gear back into soul)
I need you
(To help me up and out of here)
I need you
(To help me here and take me on)
Tahi rua toru wha
I drive this car with a rope and tow bar
My map's my past so I never get far
I move in circles pulled along by flesh
I trip on hurdles every corner of this quest
So-why-do-I-remain
oblivious to this pain
Sof-ten-my-heart
to feel your love again
I need you
(To get my soul back into gear)
I need you
(To get my gear back into soul)
I need you
(To help me up and out of here)
I need you
(To help me here and take me on)
This is it about time too
Jump Jump Jump Jump
I need you
(To get my gear back into soul)
I need you
(To get my soul back into gear)
I need you
(To help me up and out of here)
I need you
(To help me here and take me on)
Just one more march
around Jericho's walls
Just one more shout
and they're gonna fall
Yeah they're gonna fall down
Yeah they're gonna fall down
Yeah they're gonna fall down
Just one more march
around Jericho's walls
Just one more shout
and they're gonna fall down
Yeah they're gonna fall down

There is much to die for
There is much to become
There is beauty beyond what I can see
And that is why I look to you
I look to- you- lifted up
I look to- you- my first love
You take my wounds
and snake bites
upon your flesh
upon your eyes
I see the tears of a conqueror
I see the tears of a groom dying for his bride
I look to- you- lifted up
I look to- you- my first love
Untainted blood
Spilt amongst convicts and thieves
And I am but one of these
Convicted and broken
my only hope is to follow,
to follow your lead
I look to- you- lifted up
I look to- you- my first love
O Lord I'm ready, to be used
O Lord I'm ready, to follow
O Lord I'm ready, to be yours
And follow you home
And follow you O sweet home
And follow you home
And follow you O sweet home
O Lord I'm ready, to be yours
O Lord I'm ready, to follow you home
And that is why
I look to- you- lifted up
As I look back over time
I regret the fact I left you behind,

You're holy, not so holy, turning slowly, turning out.
You're hateful, very hateful, so unfaithful, giving up.
I'm fearless, forever feeling sick with weirdness, so far
gone.
I curse the day you fell on me,
Like a plague without a remedy.
Lost control of everything this is all about.
I can't get used to this.
I try, but I just reminisce.
Close my eyes and make a wish you'd let me out.
Waiting, all this waiting, I'm still fading in the dark.
This bleeding, can't stop bleeding and believing who I
I curse the day you fell on me.
Like a plague without a remedy.
Lost control of everything this is all about.
I can't get used to this.
I try, but I just reminisce.
Close my eyes and make a wish you'd let me out.
I curse the day you fell on me.
Like a plague without a remedy.
Lost control of everything this is all about.
I can't get used to this.
I try, but I just reminisce.
