Como indica la nota de encabezamiento en el título del vídeo, Beethoven no puede haber sido el autor de este pequeño conjunto de danzas. Poco se sabe acerca de su origen, tan sólo que fueron publicadas en 1807 por Johann Traeg, en Viena. La Ecossaise, una danza con origen tanto en Inglaterra como en Francia, a pesar de la derivación escocesa de la palabra, no ocupó un lugar destacado en la producción de Beethoven, a pesar de que compusiera una en Mi bemol para piano, WoO 86, y otras dos en Re y en Sol para conjunto de viento y para piano, WoO 22 y WoO 23, respectivamente.
Las seis Ecossaises para piano, aquí, son realmente interpretadas como una sola pieza en lugar de como un conjunto o colección. En realidad, la diminuta obra para piano en Si bemol mayor, catalogada como "WoO 60", fue publicada con el simple título de "Clavierstück" ("Pieza para Piano"), no "bagatela".
En el manuscrito de Beethoven aparece la siguiente inscripción, escrita por el puño de Beethoven: "Escrita a petición en la tarde del 14 de agosto de 1818 por Beethoven". Añadido a la inscripción, en otro lado, se lee "escrita a petición de una mujer desconocida para él". Algunos han sugerido que esta mujer era Marie Szymanowska, una pianista polaca, aunque nadie está realmente seguro de quién era ella, o incluso si la inscripción adicional debiera tomarse en serio.
Cualquiera que sea su origen, la "Clavierstücke" WoO 60 fue publicada por primera vez el 8 de diciembre de 1824 en el suplemento del "Berliner allgemeine musikalische Zeitung". Ludwig van Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven (
i/ˈlʊdvɪɡ væn ˈbeɪˌtoʊvən/, /ˈbeɪtˌhoʊvən/; German: [ˈluːtvɪç fan ˈbeːtˌhoˑfn̩]; baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 piano concertos, 1 violin concerto, 32 piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, his great Mass the Missa solemnis and an opera, Fidelio.
Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and part of the Holy Roman Empire, Beethoven displayed his musical talents at an early age and was taught by his father Johann van Beethoven and by composer and conductor Christian Gottlob Neefe. At the age of 21 he moved to Vienna, where he began studying composition with Joseph Haydn, and gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He lived in Vienna until his death. By his late 20s his hearing began to deteriorate, and by the last decade of his life he was almost totally deaf. In 1811 he gave up conducting and performing in public but continued to compose; many of his most admired works come from these last 15 years of his life.

Alfred Brendel
Alfred Brendel KBE (born 5 January 1931) is an Austrian pianist, poet and author. The magazine Limelight counted him as one of the greatest pianists of all time.
Biography
Brendel was born in Wiesenberg (now Loučná nad Desnou, Czech Republic) to a non-musical family. They moved to Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), when Brendel was six where he began piano lessons with Sofija Deželić. He later to moved to Graz, Austria, and studied piano with Ludovica von Kaan at the Graz Conservatory and composition with Artur Michel. Towards the end of World War II, the 14-year-old Brendel was sent back to Yugoslavia to dig trenches.
After the war, Brendel composed music, as well as continuing to play the piano, to write and to paint. However, he never had more formal piano lessons and, although he attended master classes with Edwin Fischer and Eduard Steuermann, he was largely self-taught after the age of sixteen.
Brendel gave his first public recital in Graz at the age of 17.He called it "The Fugue in Piano Literature", and as well as fugal works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt, it included a sonata of Brendel's own composition. However, he gave up composing shortly after this to concentrate on the piano. In 1949 he won a prize in the Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy and moved to Vienna the following year.

Poco se sabe acerca de su origen, tan sólo que fueron publicadas en 1807 por Johann Traeg, en Viena. La Ecossaise, una danza con origen tanto en Inglaterra como en Francia, a pesar de la derivación escocesa de la palabra, no ocupó un lugar destacado en la producción de Beethoven, a pesar de que compusiera una en Mi bemol para piano, WoO 86, y otras dos en Re y en Sol para conjunto de viento y para piano, WoO 22 y WoO 23, respectivamente.
Las seis Ecossaises para piano, aquí, son realmente interpretadas como una sola pieza en lugar de como un conjunto o colección. Cada tema de danza (o variante) es presentado y después seguido por el mismo estribillo, que, de este modo, sirve para recorrer y unir todo el material. En el manuscrito de Beethoven aparece la siguiente inscripción, escrita por el puño de Beethoven: "Escrita a petición en la tarde del 14 de agosto de 1818 por Beethoven". Añadido a la inscripción, en otro lado, se lee "escrita a petición de una mujer desconocida para él". Algunos han sugerido que esta mujer era Marie Szymanowska, una pianista polaca, aunque nadie está realmente seguro de quién era ella, o incluso si la inscripción adicional debiera tomarse en serio.

One day Mr. Matrio,director of the court orchestra visited Beethoven's house.
Beethoven's father was greatly pleased to hear that.
The king called Beethoven and praised him to the skies.
So he had Teacher Piper teach Beethoven.
Beethoven played the organ in the court church at the request of Teacher Nepe.
After seeing Beethoven playing the organ, the king appointed him as the second organ player.
Mrs. Breuning, a noblewoman, helped young Beethoven.
Beethoven had the chance of meeting Mozart with the help of Teacher Nepe and some people around him.
Mozart was very surprised after listening to Beethoven playing the piano.
Beethoven was very excited with great joy after being praised by Mozart, the great musician.
But he could learn music from Haydn with the help of Teacher Nepe.
Beethoven returned to Vienna and because one of the most famous piano players.
But his joy didn't last long because he came down with an ear disease.
but he gradually became deaf.
And he composed a lot of music including the
"Destiny Symphony" and the "Passion Piano Sonata,"
which described his love for a woman.
He couldn't recognize Schubert, a young musician,
who visited him, because his health got worse.
Beethoven died at the age of 54 on March 24, 1826.
The songs of this great musician who overcame a lot of adversity and composed a lot of beautiful music are still with us.

Beethoven worked on the Fifth Symphony for more than four years, completing it in 1808, and introducing it on December 22 of that year at what must have been one of the most extraordinary concerts in history. The marathon program included the Fifth and Sixth Symphonies; the Choral Fantasy, Op. 80; the Fourth Piano Concerto; and parts of the Mass in C. Vienna was in the grip of exceptionally cold weather, the hall was unheated, and the musicians woefully under-prepared. As Schindler noted, "the reception accorded to these works was not as desired, and probably no better than the author himself had expected. The public was not endowed with the necessary degree of comprehension for such extraordinary music, and the performance left a great deal to be desired."
Following early indifference, the public only gradually began to come to terms with the Fifth. One of its earliest proponents, the poet and composer E.T.A. Hoffmann wrote, "How this magnificent composition carries the listener on and on in a continually ascending climax into the ghostly world of infinity!...the human breast, squeezed by monstrous presentiments and destructive powers, seems to gasp for breath; soon a kindly figure approaches full of radiance, and illuminates the depths of terrifying night." In his Howard's End, E.M. Forster writes of the work, suggesting that it satisfies "all sort and conditions." The characters of Helen and Tibby know the work well, the latter even describing "the transitional passage on the drum" before the finale. That Forster dwelt at such length on the work shows the extent to which it had become absorbed into the Romantic consciousness.
Hermann Kretzschmar wrote of the "stirring dogged and desperate struggle" of the first movement, one of the most concentrated of all Beethoven's symphonic sonata movements. It is derived almost exclusively from the rhythmic cell of the opening, which is even felt in the accompaniment of the second subject group. There follows a variation movement in which cellos introduce the theme, increasingly elaborated and with shorter note values at every reappearance. A second, hymn-like motif is heard as its counterfoil.
The tripartite scherzo follows; the main idea is based on an ominous arpeggio figure, but we hear also the omnipresent "Fate" rhythm, exactly as it is experienced in the first movement. The central section, which replaces the customary trio, is a pounding fugato beginning in the cellos and basses, and then running through the rest of the orchestra. Of particular structural interest is the inter-linking bridge passage which connects the last two movements. Over the drumbeat referred to by Forster's Tibby, the music climbs inexorably toward the tremendous assertion of C major triumph at the start of the finale. The epic grandeur of the music, now with martial trombones and piccolo added (the Fifth also calls for contrabassoon), has irresistible drive and sweep, though that eventual victory is still some way off is suggested by the return of the ominous scherzo figure during the extended development.

*Never mind the lenght of the video, it's the full symphony. According to Bendzsi1997, the tempo of this piece is mostly normal. Exception at the 2nd mov's Trio (2x fast) and at the 4th mov's March (2x fast) and 51-53 minutes.* The Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, is the final complete symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven. Completed in 1824, the symphony was the first example of a major composer using voices in a symphony (thus making it a choral symphony). The words are sung during the final movement by four vocal soloists and a chorus. Enfermo, intentó escribir una décima sinfonía en un último gesto de poder ante la adversidad pero su propia imperfección heredada lo venció, ¿lo volveremos a ver? eso queda entre Jehová Dios y usted.

Beethoven adapta su programa descriptivo a la forma sinfónica clásica habitual, insertando después del scherzo (III movimiento) un movimiento adicional (Tormenta), que preludia el final. En el final del andante (escena junto al arroyo), la flauta, el oboe y el clarinete se aúnan armoniosamente en la imitación de los cantos del ruiseñor, la codorniz y el cuclillo (compases 129 a 136 del Andante molto mosso). El propio compositor advierte que estas descripciones no deben tomarse de una manera demasiado literal, él las califica de expresión de sentimiento, antes que de descripción.
Sólo el primer movimiento se acomoda a la forma sonata. El tercer movimiento responde a la forma Scherzo-Trío, modificada. Esta sección se enlaza sin pausa con los dos últimos movimientos, práctica que Beethoven solamente empleó en esta obra y en la 5ª Sinfonía. Felix Mendelssohn (Sinfonía de la Reforma) y Robert Schumann (4ª Sinfonía) retomaron este procedimiento décadas después.

Beethoven comenzó a escribir notas específicas para una "Sinfonia Pastorale" en 1806, pero no terminó la obra hasta 1808, en el pueblo de Heiligenstadt, al noroeste de Viena. La Sinfonía n.º 6 en fa mayor, Op. 68, "Pastoral" es una de las pocas obras de música programática de Beethoven, y el compositor la subtituló “Recuerdos de la vida campestre”.
Beethoven fue un amante de la naturaleza, tanto que pasaba gran parte de su tiempo caminando por el campo. Frecuentemente abandonaba Viena para trabajar en localidades rurales. No fue, sin embargo, el primer compositor en describir sinfónicamente la Naturaleza: por ejemplo, en su oratorio Las Estaciones, estrenado en 1802, Franz Joseph Haydn similarmente pintó el amor por la Naturaleza, campesinos bailando, una tormenta, pájaros cantando, y otros similares.
